Set in the designer shopping area the Four Seasons is as you would expect: classy, top quality and with great advice. I felt entirely looked after and was given great suggestions for places to eat and see. I was in MIlan to see family and friends and Four Seasons made everything easy.

This is another great Four Seasons property in Europe. The design is beautiful and historical, the rooms are tasteful and comfortable and the service is impeccable Four Seasons quality. The location is perfect and adjacent to the chic shopping area and great restaurants. The overall feel of the hotel is a design accomplishment of making an historical building meld with modern design and it works. The restaurant is good but not exceptional and you can certainly find better in Milan. Room service was excellent and on time. There are many great hotels in Milan but this hotel is hard to beat.

We selected the hotel as the first start to our 2 week honeymoon in northern Italy. On arrival we were taken to the room and presented with champagne and chocolate coated strawberries. Service from the start was first class. Cocktails in the lobby were excellent and all round relaxing place to be. Perfect location for a short stay in Milan.

Whilst the main reason for our long weekend in Milan, to see Angela Gheorghiu perform in La Boheme at la Scala, was disappointingly impacted by Ms.Gheorghiu's absence due to illness (ever a diva!), we were certainly not disappointed with our stay at the Four Seasons in Milan.
Even before we had arrived, following an introduction by the General Manager of another Four Seasons property that we had stayed at earlier in the year, Vincenzo Finizzola, General Manager at the Milan property, was the perfect host and helped to make our three night stay, in pleasant late Autumn sunshine, most enjoyable. The hotel adjoins the Versace 'palace' (as the Versace home is apparently referred to locally), outside which we had the interesting experience one evening of seeing Donatella and Lady Gaga on a balcony, indulging in the worship of the latter's fans! The location is perfect and the setting, in a converted monastery, is quite special. After a room change on the second morning (we initially had a room too close to the stone/marble floor lift area, which does generate noticeable noise), we had a very spacious junior suite (I believe) overlooking the inner courtyard/garden, which was perfect. We ate dinner one night in the hotel's restaurant and the food was very good but (although a relatively very minor matter) I do take issue with the fact that at breakfast ('American' included in the room rate) there is a charge for more than one glass of fresh orange juice and for cereal or fruit, if in addition to any egg dish ordered. Further, although not completely clear, there is also an additional charge for any more than one cup of coffee! I have never encountered such an arrangement, particularly at a Four Seasons property, and frankly it really is inappropriate. Finishing my review on a very positive note, the recently opened spa complex underground and in particular the pool, is superb, although a (freak) fire in that area on the last night of our stay, has, I believe forced closure of the facility in the short term, whilst repairs are carried out. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Four Seasons Milan and would thoroughly recommend the property to fellow discerning travellers!

Room Tip: Rooms near to the stone/marble floored lift lobby areas on all floors can be noisy. Rooms facing the inner courtyard/garden are perfect.

A beautiful hotel based in a converted former monastery. Marvellous lobby, pleasant and quiet rooms. Hotel, rooms, bathrooms all well appointed and up to date. Perfect location, very central and still very quite. Located between the both best shopping streets in Milano with the worlds leading fashion houses. Close to restaurants of all levels. Highly attentive and effective staff. The most perfect service you can imagine. Just outstanding!

Room Tip: Request a room or suite facing the main courtyard/garden. The hotel was once a monastery and the courtyard is the former cloister of it. Very quite and sunny.
