This hotel is in an old convent that has been beautifully restored. It is located in the fashion quadrant of the old city, on a lovely quiet street that is a great walking area, close to the Duomo and other sights. The hotel has remnants of old frescoes and a stunning center cloister with columns on two sides, lined with glass. I had a room on the second floor on the Gesu Street side -- which I liked because it gave me a sense of what it might have been like in the old city -- but many rooms look onto the large center courtyard. My room had two bathroom areas which would make it very nice for two people. There is a good hairdresser on site. I thought the restaurant was just so-so, but room service was very good and they really accommodated my desire for fresh vegetables and fruit. The concierge personnel were terrific. I talked with them by phone in advance of my visit and they lined up one of the best guides I have ever had -- very knowledgeable about the history and culture, sensitive to my interests, enjoyable to be around, and creative about arrangements. I spent three days with her, including a day with a driver in Lake Como. I thought the hotel was a bit pricey compared with other Four Seasons, but I had a most wonderful and restful stay.

Room Tip: I liked my room on the Gesu side. The walls are thick and the windows substantial so even though Bruce Springstein was in residence and a crowd of his fans was on the street off and on, it was not bothersome.

This hotel epitomizes everything a five star hotel should be. Great service great concierge. Free wifi. There is a spa. A gym.

However when we went the spa and gym were under renovation and thus moved to tiny guest rooms.

The hotel location is perfect right in the center of shopping.

The hotel does not have the modern four seasons feel. It sticks to the era decor to give you a real Italian feel. I didn't mind it although my mom doesn't like something that "looks old" (they kept the ceilings historical in some rooms)

Beyond words. Go!
Incredible location, food, rooms and especially staff.
Six star rating from me.
I loved every minute of my stay and almost cried when I left. I never cry!
The staff treated me like one of them and made me feel very welcome... I laughed every day with them.
Elegance without stuffiness.
Best hotel stay ever!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the spectacular courtyard.

hotel service is great...location fine
rooms can be noisy from courtyard activity and upper floors - we had 2 nights of late party noise to 3am so that upset our baby and kids sleep patterns

very friendly with kids in restaurant and breakfast staff were outstanding

spa and gym are in old rooms and not to standard
concierge are wonderful and know how to sort anything you need

tv and movies need upgrading....room lighting and technology is getting old

hotel cars are over priced at 240 euro to train station 10 mins away - taxi is 10 euro

bathroom are very hot with mirror heating ....water was dirty in tub but was being serviced that day so understandable

room cleaning and turn down very professional and well done

overall good but not great by 4 seasons other hotel standards -4 not 5 star experience for the money they will need to work on some improvements to keep up with armani and other hotels

Room Tip: upper floors and away from courtyard bar noise

In walking distance of all major attractions, and Milano has a few to offer....the hotel was a haven of peace in this dazzling fashion town. Steps away from The Galleria, Duomo and La Scala, the concierge was instrumental for us to be able to get 'a last minute' reservation for 'La Cena' from Leonardo Da Vinci.
