“Outstanding location, great service from this boutique hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2009

Great location just around the corner from the Duomo.

Had a great room (suite), with separate sitting area, bedroom and two bathrooms. Upstairs bathroom had a great bath and huge shower. Large flat screen tv (with Sky) in sitting area, smaller flatscreen in bedroom.

Staff were very friendly. It was our wedding anniversary and they gave us complimentary strawberries and champagne. They also gave us a great guide to the City.

Breakfast was very good. Could be taken in room or in Dining room. Great eggs.

Communal areas were good, modern with a art deco twist. Beautiful art.

Would definately revisit this hotel next time we go to Milan

Went to Pink Floyd the Ballet premiere at La Scala where we bought tickets online directly from La Scala...so check out what is on. Great seats at a great price for a World Premiere. Had dinner at 2-Michellin Trussardi alla Scarla. Over pretentious service, interesting food (though my starter came with free human hair) and over-priced...it did not compare well with other Michellin-starred restauarants we have tried. We wanted to go to Craco which was outside Spadari hotel...but it was fully booked. Also 2-starred, worth booking in advance for a special evening.

The team@Spadari are the best. Started with the front desk staff;Natalie,Yanti and Juliana. They were most helpful and friendly with organising my rooms and recommending awesome local restaurants. I had the good fortune in staying in 3 of their rooms(out of 40);superior, single and special with balcony. The rooms were very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The beddings were of good quality. The rooms were very quiet. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, served by Francescca and team. Very nice selection including their omelettes and parma ham. Close proximity to the duomo, shops, restaurants and trains/trams. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for two nights in October 2008. This hotel more than lives up to its reputation. Staff were extremely polite and helpful on checkin. The room was spacious, immaculate, with a modern (and interesting) shower. Breakfast was ample and delicious. We coupled our stay with a night at the Teatro alla Scala, which is in easy walking distance (and highly, highly recommended). The trams outside (and with the Duomo only a stone's throw away) gave the hotel a certain charm. Well serviced by all public transport possibilities. Overall, an excellent and memorable hotel.

Having never been past the lakes, this was my first time in an Italian city and first time in an Italy using the Euro. Milan is Very Expensive! Our room rate was c. €200 euros, this included breakfast (very nice) and too be fair was a lot cheaper than some of the nice hotels in Milan.

The room was very clean and pleasant, we had one with a balcony.
All the usual things there, no tea/coffee facilities however.

A bit unclear what was free in the minibar and what wasn't.

Nice multijet shower in the bathroom, which was quite small compared to the room (shower only).

What I will say is the staff here where very friendly and accommodating. They must have answered half a dozen emails before I arrived. I proposed to my girlfriend here and they nearly blew the surprise with an early bottle of champagne! (And bizarrely thought it was our honeymoon, even though I had emailed to say engagement.)

I think if you want very central and high quality of accommodation and service, this is the hotel for you. If you can't afford the price, sadly there is nothing for you in Milan any closer than the Central Station area.

We stayed in a superior room with special shower. It was a huge room with a wonderful bathroom which had a double rain shower. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable.
The hotel was very central, very close to the Duomo.
Breakfast was great - the best hotel breakfast we had during our trip to Italy with a great variety of food including eggs cooked to order.
The staff were superb - they were always helpful. I havd asked Natalie to prebook tickets for the Last Supper for me - thanks!
We will stay at Hotel Spadari again if we come back to Milan

This small boutique hotel was immaculately clean and very well staffed. We had a King room, which was a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable with high quality linens, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, and was just steps away from all the main sites in Milan. There were several cafes right on the same street as the hotel or just a block or two away, and they all had outdoor seating. The only thing lacking was a place to sit outside and relax at the end of the day, but a small square with benches surrounding the statue of Leonardo Da Vinci was a short two minute walk away. We spent most of the day outside the room exploring the city, so the room size really didn't matter to us. Our most important requirements are cleanliness and a professional staff, and the Spadari truly fit the bill.

We got here by TripAdvisor - and couldn't possibly leave without posting a review.

Beautiful service from the friendliest staff I have come across in any hotel. Location is just unbelievable. Perfect couple of days in Milan.
