Description: If you go to "RIFUGIO DEL GHIOTTONE" you will find the cordiality, the tradition and a first line place, where you will be welcomed like a friend in one of the most tasty and pleasant restaurant of the town. The restaurant is in the downtown Milan between the bastions of Porta Venezia and Porta Nuova and it has many guests like show -business people and in particular sporting journalists. The RIFUGIO DEL GHIOTTONE is born in the summer 1999 thanks to the collaboration of two managers, which, after many years of experience, decided to join and to do their best. For example the very good gastronomic offer: the food follows the inspiration of Mediterranean food and the Milanese tradition thanks to the long experience of the chef that harmonizes the quality and tradition. In the restaurant there will be Gilberto and Nicola that pay attention to every detail and there is a wide range of wines. The tourists can find the menu translated into English - German - Spanish - Russian- Spanish - Japanese, and all the credit cards.

Reviewed 30 March 2013

Very good restaurant in the centre of Milan. Delicious food (seafood, steaks/Tbone, pasta).
Very kindly owners and staff. Fiorentina steak (TBone) and Spaghetti al Cartoccio (Spaghetti and seafood cooked in the pizza oven) are recommended

I visit Milan on business 7 or 8 times a year and eat here multiple times when I'm here. We call it the mustache man place after one of the owners

“Very good food and worth a visit but I wouldn't rave about it”
Reviewed 5 July 2012

The menu was extensive and the food was very nice, heart shaped pizzas and the pastas were lovely.
The staff were polite and friendly although I got the feeling they didn't want a late night. The plates were cleared as individuals had finished rather than the group (although this could be an Italian custom) and they brought the desert trolly out as soon as the last person had put their knife and fork down.
At the end of the night we wanted another bottle of wine and asked if they would prefer us to go elsewhere but they said they were happy for us to stay, then sort of sat around obviously waiting for us to leave. It was about 11pm I don't think that's too unacceptable for a friday night and we did ask first.
