We were recommended this small trattoria by our hotel concierge, and boy was he right! We would not have found this place in a small side street on our own, We were (for Italy) early, around 7:15, and we were the first guests sitting down.
As previous reviewers have stated the waiter was very friendly, helpful with translation (our Italian is limited and the menu not multilingual)
There were four of us, we had:
Pork shank from the oven.
Squid and cuttlefish
Beef cubed with balsamic dressing and fresh tomatoes
Beef slices tossed vegetables
we had 2 Coke light with that, a half litre carafe of red wine, and we all had Tiramisu and coffee or tea after...
Total bill was just under 120 Euros: for this quality I would call that very cheap.
I would certainly visit this restaurant again when I am back in Milan.

We are travelling on a budget, and so we skipped the (still reasonably priced) secondi dishes, and ordered the spaghetti with clams and 'Milanese' style risotto, a half litre of house red, and tiramisu for dessert. The waiter was quick, very friendly and helped translate the small but varied Italian menu for us (no touristy English menus here).

What we got was a serving of their delicious bruschetta gratis (ie. free), followed quickly and simply by the food we'd ordered. The spaghetti with clams was quite simply loaded with clams and the spaghetti perfectly cooked. My partner's 'Milanese' risotto, while visually quite bland, had a great flavour and was perfectly cooked. The tiramisu was covered in lovely cream, and whilst it was not as good as some I've had, it was still quite delicious. The waiter's warning that the tiramisu is a bit of a hit with the lady's, and to watch my partner in case she tried to eat it all, was almost prophetic! :)

All in all, highly recommended!

I do not like to eat italian food, but this is the only italian restaurant I went for my 5 days in Italy. One of the local told me to try this restaurant and I tried. It really is an italian cuisine, they do not have a lot of menu to choose from and the menu is in italian but the waiter help me to translate the menu. i have the tomato brucheta, spaghetti with tomato sauce and tiramisu. It the best italian food I have tried. will come to this restaurant again if I visit Milan

The food was amazing food cooked perfectly. It was like home cooking Italian style. The service was great. Our waiter spoke great English and was happy to translate the menu. He was very friendly and provided great recommendations. He also shouted us home cooked delicious buiscuits and grappa. Highly recommend it.
