“Great hotel - great staff”
Reviewed 22 October 2011

If you want a clean, firendly and easy to reach hotel from central station then this hotel is for you. My wife and I stayed at the hotel last weekend and on first impressions eveything we had read about seemed to be correct. The hotel staff were very friendlya nd check in was smooth. In particular we found Alberto extremely helpful. We asked him where to go on the saturday night and he recommended Naviglia where many of the local Milanese will go and party. It was fantastic I reccomend going down there and seeing the madness for yourselves. The hotel itself has everything you need, and the room we stayed in (402) was spacious with all we required. Speak to the staff and they can give you the inside track on where to go and how to get there. Like I said Alberto was a real star for us.

Boutique hôtel of about 54 rooms in retro 50/60' Italian style. Rooms comfortable, bright and quiet ( we stayed on 4th floor). Aircon works well and rooms are well maintained and cleaned.Breakfast is very good with reasonable selection. Staff professional, friendly and helpful. A number of restaurants nearby and good one diagonally opposite hotel with good pizzeria next to it. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk away. About 15 mins walk to Corso Buenos Aires and some great shopping. Ho Ho bus 10 mans away opposite Central Station. Recommended for couples rather than families. Stayed here September.

Room Tip: Rooms on 4th floor quieter than others but not by much. Lift to 4th floor.

My husband and I spent three nights in September: excellent location, literally 5 minutes walking distance from central train station, excellnet room, very clean, excellent breakfast with great variety of food, clean bathroom and good size (not a closet size for sure), great service, front desk very helpful, around 20 minutes walking distance from Duomo and the central district. An average European 4 star hotel is closer to a 3 star hotel in Australia however Mediolanum is definitely a 4 star hotel. Can't recommend highly enough for a nice getaway in Milan.

Room Tip: We had no problem with outside (or any inside) noise

Needed a decent hotel fairly near Centrale Station. The room was clean and colourful with lots of different settings for the lights. There was a huge complimentary free basket of fresh fruit (apple, orange, kiwi, bananas) in the room. Breakfast was great. The staff were very friendly. Only problem was the high price, however most things in Milan seem expensive.

This hotel is a very poor value and is not convenient. I'd recommend staying in the center of Milan as the central station area is bad and far away from everything. Or if you are just passing through, choose something closer to the central station.

The hotel was very hard to get to with so many bags and you basically need a taxi to get to the central station. Then I don't see how this is a 4* hotel -- the shower is miniscule, no pool or anything. Basic and clean but honestly if I had paid another $50 I'd have gotten a real 5* in the center of Milan.

In terms of value, it's just not worth to be so far out of the center and so far from the central station.

THe only plus of the hotel was the complete blackout outside blinds.

Was on the last leg of a 5 week trip. Hotel wasn't too hard to find from Centrale Station (just go down Via Torriani for a few minutes and you will see a sign for the hotel on your left) and having just spent the past few weeks on the road, it was nice to be able to drop my things off relatively quickly at the hotel without having to navigate the metro again after the airport express from MXP... even if this means a little more time to get to Duomo etc compared to staying closer to the sights there. Extra kudos and thank-you to Alberto who was helpful and professional at front desk. It's great to meet a friendly face and welcome after a long trip. The others were sometimes a little more concerned with getting their paperwork done rather than connecting with their customers while at the desk - just a little smile or nod would have made all the difference! But overall great place to stay for a quick trip to the city. Room was clean, breakfast was decent and the whole hotel non-smoking, which was great for me!

Room was not clean and with only 2 towels in shower room. Refrigerator wasn't working but staff was very helpful for our one night stay. Due to city extensive renovation, roads are blocked so without a gps, prepare to get lost in the city trying to find this hotel.

No parking is available with the hotel but 19:00 to 8:00am you can park free at near by streets.
Internet was free for our room class.

Room Tip: Void it if you can.
