When travelling with child, our utmost consideration when choosing a hotel is convenience to transportation. Best Western Atlantic could not have been better located for our needs. We arrived to Milan from Venice via train, so this hotel location being very near the Milano Centrale Railway Station minimised inconvenience of moving around with luggages and child stroller. The metro station connected to the railways station and nearest to the hotel is 'Centrale' station which links two subway lines, so it is very convenient to get around Milan city and attractions from the hotel. The Milano Centrale station also has many airport transfer buses if you are leaving the country via Milan airport.

We booked the triple room (Double bed & single pull-out bed) and it was very spacious for three of us. The bathroom (with bidet) is also spacious. The rooms are newly renovated. Furnishings are modern, clean and functional, equipped with mini fridge and flatscreen tv with int'l cable channels. Our room was located on topmost floor, no spectacular view around but window view is not directly blocked by other buildings so that was good. We did not encounter any noise issue.

Breakfast at the common dining area is adequate and variety is fine. They also provide complimentary coffee and tea at the lobby 24/7. Staff are helpful with whatever queries you may have about Milan. A family friendly establishment.

Recommended for its accessibility to transportation to/from and within Milan city and clean rooms.

This hotel is right next to Milano Centrale station, so perfect for those that are already exhausted from a long trip and have just made it to the station via shuttle bus etc. The rooms are simple but our double bed had an obvious divide down the middle which was annoying, but more a problem was that the room smelt of smoke... If a room is supposed to be non-smoking you mustn't let the like of smokers in to cover it with filth...but hey, this is Italy and so many people smoke.
As others have mentioned the breakfast is minimal but adequate.
We had been allocated a room on the 1st floor (Room 110). The first floor is part of an open atrium above reception. This means that effectively, you are right next to the reception desk and can hear people coming in at all hours.
If you can, ask for a higher floor.
The convenience of the location makes this a great choice for short stays.

Stayed here for five nights in September. A few minutes walk from the Central station and ready access to connections to the airport and Milan Metro. We also used this as a base for the F1 grand prix at Monza and a trip to Lake Como.
Hotel was lovely. Clean and spacious rooms, good brekfast and very helpful staff. Would definitely stay again if visting Milan.

We stayed in Milan for 3 nights, 3 weeks ago. This hotel was a good base for exploring Milan and for day trips! I completely agree with previous reviewers' comments. It's very convenient, 5 minutes from the central train station (which is a mall by the way) helpful staff, nice breakfast with hot and cold variety and clean!

Our room was great , we had the junior suite and it was spacious with a lot of light, the aircon was satisfying and even though our room was close to the lifts we couldn't hear a thing!

I rated this hotel 5 because it was modern, fresh, recently refurbished and clean which is essential for me! I didn't like the fact that the sheets weren't changed during our 3 night stay though! The pillow cases were changed and the towels but not the sheets!

However, I appreciate it very much when the stuff is polite and helpful and they are doing their best to please their customers!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are more spacious

My wife and I stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday , we arrived by train and the hotel is only a 5 min walk from the station which was handy as the airport buses also leave from there every 20min and cost 10 euro . Upon check in we were impressed with how warm a welcome we received and the information we were given to help us look around the city. Our room was nice and large with a comfy bed and if you wanted to watch tv then there were plenty of channels to choose from, unfortunatley when it came to night you could here every foot step above you and also every door slam on your floor and this turned out to be the wost sleep of the whole holiday and at £200 a night I expect better !!. the breakfast was a complete disapointment as well and looked like the night before leftovers you had some cereals , pasta , eggplant , cold boiled eggs and very lukewarm hot dog sausages and scrambled egg and loads of cakes, again at £200 a night this was rubbish!! and when we complained at reception, the staff who were different from the ones at check in just looked at us and shrugged their shoulders ( so much for customer care ) .The hotel is also near the metro system and you can also walk to the main sqare with the cathedral in about 30 min and if like us you don't have a lot of time make sure you at least make the effort to see it as it's stunning . We would not use this hotel again and I was going to give it a rating of poor but upgraded it as the room was nice and the welcome and help that we got on check in was fantastic .

Room Tip: ask for a top floor room.
