The location of this hotel is excellent, and offers easy access to many of the major sights in the city. Check in was smooth, and although we arrived slightly prior to the indicated time, a room was available. While the first room that we were offered was quite small and on the dark side, the room we were moved to was larger and much brighter. It is a bit confusing to navigate the very long, winding hallways, and we were a bit put off by the stained, shabby carpets in the halls. The room itself was quite lovely, and the bathroom definitely adequate. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel, but is quite slow in the room. At times, due to the very central location, there can be some noise from outside, from people, trucks, ,etc., but this is not terrible. We found the concierge services somewhat lacking. For example, they told a guest just ahead of us that Uber does not operate in Milan, when, in fact, we had just taken an Uber from the airport. They also gave us very minimal bits of information when we asked about anything. Be aware that if you opt to take a tram in Milan, the ticket that your purchase from a vendor must then be validated the minute you mount the tram. There is no English signage anywhere, and because we did not know this, we incurred a large fine despite the fact that we did purchase tickets.
