I imagine this hotel was nice at some point in the late 60s or early 70s, but clearly there has been no attempt at upgrade ever since. The bed was uncomfortable, decor musty and dusty and the air quality was a hold-over from some smoke, filled business convention from '71. The small TV, ability to reach the front desk (some crazy red light system that I couldn't get turned off all night) and confusing internet connection made my stay not only unpleasant but unproductive. The only saving grace, was there are several good restaurants near-by.

Even with SPG status, it took one return trip to the front desk before being checked in to a renovated room - the hotel has rooms which have been renovated at 3 different points in time, if the room still has a crt-TV it's in the oldest batch. On my second night in the room, a buzzing sound started in the hallway, and continued on and off for the rest of my stay. This was rather frustrating to sleep with - and was loud enough to leave a ringing in my ears during the day. Although informed of the problem, the staff made no effort to fix the problem during my stay.

WIFI was very slow, although the manager assured me this was being worked on.

The tredmill in the gym was completely worn out - again the manager assuered a replacement was on the way.

Breakfast was fine.

Location is pretty good, as it is near the central train station. Although the 5min walk might not be ideal, especially later at night.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room

We had to stay in Milano as our train to Zurich was overbooked. It was during the Fashion week so we were quite worried about finding good accomodation. Fourtnately we could find a room at this hotel, it was great and let us relax and enjoy the city. THe hotel is on the finantial district of Milano and is even on a walking distance to the train station in case you don't wish to grab a cab. The breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic has warm and cold dishes and has plenty of options sure to fit the taste of any traveler. The room is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is large and decorated with a modern style. The cathedral and the Galleria Vitorio Emannuel are just two stops away on the underground.

We stayed at the Four points in MIlan in early October. Its a great hotel with wonderful service, from the front desk to the bell hop. The room was very clean and well appointed. The only warning that I would tell you about is not to try and drive to the hotel on a Sunday. Milan does not allow anyone but Taxis to drive in the city center on Sundays from 8am till 10 pm. We did not know this and thought it weird that there was only taxis and bikes on the road. I think the only reason that we managed to drive in the area is that our rental car was a white station wagon that looked like a taxi.

Room Tip: Try, not to arrive on a Sunday, if you are driving yourself.

We stayed 3 nights. When I saw the outside of the hotel, I was a bit worried, but the inside was very nice and the room was beautiful. It was small but clean and very quiet, and it had everything you need to make a comfortable stay: nice bed and pillow, flat screen TV, bathrobe and slippers, enough storage, nice bathroom, even a free bottle of water! One reviewer mentioned a bad shower, but ours was fine, although the temperature control needed some practice, and the pressure was excellent. Downsides: the bathtub had some water stains and a faint smell of soup came out of the bathroom every morning (is our bathroom connected to the hotel kitchen?). Breakfast was good and plentiful and staff was helpful, they were also very kind with children.
The area around the hotel is not the prettiest, but the train station is close by and from there the Duomo is only a few minutes away. Once there, you can pretty much walk everywhere.
All in all, a comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

Eating breakfast here at the moment and it's a poor cousin of other meals I've eaten in Italian hotels for lower rates. Including in Milan.
Shower is bad - no temperature control, no pressure, and not much water coming out. At least I had a bath, if only I had a bit more time and motivation for that style of washing.
Apart from these and the room having an un comfortable bed and hearing neighbours it is ok. At least the staff were nice.

Beautiful, clean rooms with all the comforts you could want - robes, slippers, tea, coffee, free in room wifi - including a very comfortable bed and a flat screen tv with english channels. After 10 days in southern Italy, I enjoyed this hotel experience that felt more american than european to me. The staff was welcoming but not especially helpful or kind. A glitch in their reservation system overcharged me (they promptly refunded me) so double check your credit card statement. Location is good for access to the central train station but the area seemed like a business district, not the kind of place you stroll for shopping and restaurants. There was a natural food store around the corner which was helpful. Try to get a discounted rate through their website or on hotels.com and it's a great value.
