“Christmas to New Year in Milan at the Four Points by Sheraton”

Four of us, 'repeat' guests, had stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Milan for a week between Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We would like to single out three hotel staff for their exceptional Customer Relations talent, namely Mr. Marco at the Reception Desk, Ms. Maria Bledea and Ms. Susan Tulin at the hotel's restaurant.

Mr. Marco was meticulous in applying his managerial talent to ensure our comfort and well-being, attending immediately to any complaints we had late in the night. Furthermore, his most useful, friendly advice and suggestions guided us in making the best use of our time as regards sightseeing attractions in Milan and other towns within easy reach by train.

We always had the preference of having our dinners, with our particular attraction for fish, at the hotel's Nectare restaurant instead of venturing outside, during when we had the privilege of being served by Ms. Maria Bledea. She not only went out of her way to satisfy our very particular tastes, persuading the Chef to adjust the entrees accordingly. Also, what stands out is her exceptional ability to enliven the atmosphere that served to make each and every dinner that much more pleasant. It was she who made special arrangements with the Executive Chef and all concerned to adjust the New Year's Eve dinner menu to suit our special needs, enabling us to dine inside also on that very special day.

The final word of appreciation goes to Ms. Susan Tulin, who did much more than her duties to create an exceptionally festive and joyous atmosphere during New Year's Eve dinner, which not only made it difficult for us to leave that night but made this the most memorable and pleasant New Year's Eve ever. And, after managing only a few hours of sleep, she even extended her warmth and hospitality during breakfast the following day.

All-in-all, it is their special care and attention for guests' well-being, 'going the extra mile', that make this hotel the ideal 'home-away-from-home' in this fascinating city.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, 10/31, 11/1. We are very impressed by our stay. Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel is very centrally located, close to Milan central station and bus terminals.The front desk staff were extremely nice and pleasant to deal with and very courteous and patient. Antonella, Sabina and Marco, all the three I dealt with were amazingly pleasant and very very helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with all kinds of numerous items. The staff at the restaurant also were very courteous and pleasant, especially that little elderly person. The bathroom concept remains a mystery to me as I have no idea why the shower is half open, making the water to flow all over when taking a shower. Yes, I will definitely go to this hotel again and I will strongly recommend it too.

Room Tip: Rooms are relatively small, but that is European, and be warned that the shower has only a half door...

I stay here for business and am very happy with the hotel. I usually get a standard room which is not large, but very clean and functional. Wireless internet is very fast. It is not the newest or flashiest in town, but its location is great. Not particularly close to The Duomo, La Scala,etc,but 2 blocks to the central rail station and about 200 meters to a smaller metro which is easy to figure out. The staff can answer most questions and is eager to look something up on the internet if they aren't 100% sure. There is a mezzanine area where a pretty decent complimentary coffee or cappuccino can be self served. There is a small fitness center which is OK, a few treadmills and eliptical. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel and right out the front door is a strip of small eateries and restaurants which are very good. There is also a small market which would have everything you might need from toiletries to a bottle of wine. All in all...nice place...nice staff.

The hotel as such is an average hotel, looking quite old from the outside. The entrance to the hotel is not fancy and it is from the side of the building that does not open to the main street. The lobby of the hotel is quite small, but nice. There are 4 lifts in the hotel, but they are only interconnected by pairs, which means that if you call the lift, only either of the two lifts related to that button will be called. This is quite annoying, since people tend to call both and wait for the first to come. If you are staying on the 11th. floor, it might happen, that when going down in the morning you will stop on each floor without nobody coming in.
I stayed at Four Points twice, once I was upgraded to a junior suite on the first floor and second time I received a suite on the 11th. floor. The first floor rooms' are renovated and very new - for both stays I have used the SPG Upgrade.
The rooms were nice, the first one even had a jacuzzi. Both of the rooms had a terrace. Everything was neat and clean.
The hotel has absolutely perfect staff. Everybody is very friendly, outgoing and helpful.
The location of the hotel is quite good, due to the proximity of the business district and of a metro station.

Business hotel in a great, quiet location near to Centrale station. Room was a good size and immaculately clean. Lots of choices for breakfast: from the typical Italian sweet options, through cereals, to bacon and eggs.

Staff, in particular Marco and Antonella at reception, were all helpful and friendly.

Will definitely stay hear again!

I stayed here for one evening before heading towards the coast and one night was enough. I used Starwood points to book and was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The staff was wonderful- accommodating and very helpful.

The hotel itself can use a major facelift- I mean she needs the works! Honey, it’s not your fault! It’s nothing some Botox, nipping, washing and pulling can’t fix. The décor was old and tired (yawn) and hallways dark and dreary. I had a nice room but no view and zero light coupled with dark heavy furniture made me sad.

I booked the Westin using Starwood points on my way out of Milan and between the two, Westin was much better. Sorry Sheraton but I tried. It just didn’t work out. Moving on…

thank you very much for your stay with us and for having appreciated the kindness and professionalism of our staff. Please accept my apologies for not having met all your expectations. The hotel has rooms with different decor styles, some more classic and other more contemporary. I don't know in which room you stayed in, but if you were looking for a more contemporary style, the smart room should have been your choice.
The comparison with the Westin is not fair and correct: the Westin is a 5 stars luxury hotel and room size and decor are quite different (and prize too).

Stayed at Sheraton Milano 4 days 3 nights, pretty good hotel, a little on the older side but good, great and helpful staff at front desk, we were upgraded when asked for it,had a great room on high floor with balcony, great view, also great location,even if on a little side street and only about 5/10 walk to train/subway station,we were also given a great tray of fresh fruits in our room, also many good places to eat within walking distance of Hotel. All in all good stay,good hotel
