The hotel may be showing its age (the decor is a little outdated and could do with a revamp) but location is good (easy to get to the metro) and above all the staff are extremely friendly. A good breakfast, good bar service. I actually prefer this hotel to many others in Milan.

The hotel is clean clean, easy to find, located between Garibaldi station and milan central station.

The rooms on the other hand are dramatic ! I booked a smart room which is one of the renovated room and I was suprise by the tiny size of the room and looking on the overall I wouldnt give the hotel 4 star but just 3 !!!

The staff were very nice and helpful though and the breakfast was ok for me !

To end with this coment I would say this hotel maybe suitable for short business trip but definitely not for holiday.

The hotel is a typical tower block from about about 40/50 years ago , semi surrounded by similar buildings , so definitely not a scenic location. It is a few minutes walk from the main train station, which is also the main terminus for trains and buses from Milan's three airports. However I and most of my colleagues had trouble finding it to varying degrees. Especially as it is possible to walk right past it without seeing it due to a lack of any signage on the street. In many previous replies to other reviews the manager has said this will be sorted out, but it isn't.
I had an older room , a bit old fashioned but everything worked and it did the job of an hotel room.
The bathroom was more modern and there was a TV with a lot of English speaking channels.
Breakfast and the bar area were OK but like the hotel, a bit dated.

Room Tip: I understand that some rooms are newly refurbished

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback.
We are happy that you appreciated our breakfast and the amenity of our bedrooms.
We know that is a little bit difficult to find our hotel without the sign and we would like to sorry about this. The sign was removed some months ago due to renovation of the building next to our hotel. Now the works are ending and we can assure that soon the sign will be replaced. We are glad to inform you that the hotel is involved in a refurbishment plan that involve both rooms than public areas. At the beginning of September we will have 40 rooms completely renovated (110 rooms done already), 2 meeting rooms and our Malibran Bar.
We hope to see you soon at Four Points.

Have stayed 4 nights at the Four points Sheraton on May 2014 - the hotel location is 5 minutes walking distance from Milan CS train station, allowing convenient access by train & bus shuttles from Malpensa airport, as well with city metro - green & yellow lines - with short distance to milan main attractions, the Doumo, the Casle, the shopping areas etc.
The hotel is going through renovation, so there is quite a difference between the 'old' rooms which are certainly outdated, to the renovated one's which are nicly designed with all new facilities including nice plug-in charger unit with all cable options available...
Nice breakfast buffet with warm & cold choice, good mattress & sleeping quality, friendly stuff with good service awareness that does its best to make your stay pleasant (-: (except for the gloomy waitress from the TV bar downstairs that was not willing to give us a small glass of milk allthough confirmed & sent by the reception insisting we should be charged for that....) -
In case you are looking to walk out of the hotel right onto the Doumo or shopping area (allthough there are no real interesting deals there, quality brand products are very expensive) there might be some other closer options, in terms of restaurants & pubs Navigly area is likely to be more 'live' at nights, but in VFM aspect and as there are enough Cafe's & food options also near by the four points sheraton is certainly a decent option.
Must change issue: the shower head water flow is annoying (also wiith the new room !) limited, poor, and very hard to control !

Room Tip: Ask for renovated room only !

The impressions of our guests are very important for us as they give us the opportunity to improve our quality standards.
Our Hotel in effect is well located, 400 mt from Central Station and only 100 mt from the subway (Green and Yellow line) thanks to which is possible to reach the “Duomo” in 15 minutes only. We are also close to the new area around Corso Como called “Isola”, where it is possible to enjoy and to taste the so told “Milan by Night”.
As you have indicated, the hotel is involved in an important refurbishment plan, this summer we will proceed with other 60 rooms fully equipped and most of our common areas.
Our American buffet breakfast offers rich and various items in order to meet every personal taste.
We are really sorry we have not been able to meet your expectations regarding our bartender, but we can assure that helpfulness and kindness are usually strenghts of our staff. We keep in great consideration the comfort of our guests and we work every day to make each stay memorable.
Finally concerning the problem in the bathroom, our maintenance staff is working to solve the problem, so thank you for your comment.

This is my 4th stop of my Europe trip with my family in May. Unfortunately, it is a rainy day when we arrive Milan by train. The central station is very crowded and dark. Many black guys selling umbrellas; swindlers, gypsys and beggars lying around, this made us feel very uncomfortable.

Location:
The hotel takes 10-12 minutes walk from central station. As I mentioned above, the station is overcrowded in a bad situation, it is difficult to find a right exit, besides, it also have construction sites around it. We have to use more than 30 minutes to go to every exits and start looking around until we found the sign board of "Hilton" (Thanks to google map, it shows that you must find "Hilton" first before you reach "Four Points"). Walking from central station to hotel may have to make large effort with luggages. You have to walk through the construction sites and typical narrow broken rocky roads of Italy. Besides, the way to the hotel is like a maze. (Thanks to google map again, as it shows that after walk pass to "Hilton", walk a long quiet road, then you will see the signboard of "Four Points". But it doesn't mean you find it. You have to turn left and then turn right and then you will see a car park, then turn left again, you will see the back entrance of the hotel. Turn left again, you will find it. Bingle!!!!) I strongly suggest to search from google map first if you decided to book this hotel.

Reception:
When we arrive to the hotel, a bell boy take our luggages to our room very efficiently. The luggages are in the room before we finish the check-in process.

The receptionists' services is just ok, but their English have rooms to improve as it is very hardly to hear.

Room:
A very small triple room which hardly to move around. There is only a small gap between the beds and a table. If you opened a luggage, it will blocked the way to the bathroom. The room is old-stylish and dark. The floor of the bathroom is damaged. Only one advantage is the big televison.

Breakfast:
The way to the restaurant is strange, you need to walk downstairs and upstairs again. There are sufficient variety of food and in good quality. It may be better if the servers can be more kind and nice, since no one greet us until we leave the restaurant.

Conclusion:
This hotel is just average. The location is terrible and the servers are too pride. We will not recommand this hotel to others.

Thanks for your time, we have carefully read your comments and we would like to apologize for the bad impression you received during your trip.
The Four Points Milan in fact is located in an area interested by a big renovation work for Expo 2015, a lot of skyscrapers were built and old buildings are under reconstruction. The hotel despite the proximity to the central station area, is anyway located in a sure and quite area.
We would like to offer my sincere apologies for the inconveniences you occurred regarding our Staff at the reception desk and in the restaurant, we can assure you that the politeness and efficient are of our strong points so your experience on this occasion would have been as a result of thoughtlessness rather than intent and we are anyway very sorry for that.
Besides we take this opportunity to inform you that the hotel is involved in an important refurbishment plan. In the last month we renovated 33 rooms and this summer we will proceed with other 60 rooms and most of our common areas in order to offer a very elegant product with high standard.
We invite you to come back at the “new” Four Points Milan Center as soon as you will return in Milan.

The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. The location, close to the central train station is convenient for trains but it's a 25-30 min walk to the Duomo. There are several good restaurants near by, good food and affordable. The rooms are nice and clean. I love the coffee machine in the lounge. I've been visiting here for years and look forward to being back.

Our Hotel in effect is well located, 500 mt from Central Station and only 100 mt from the subway (Green and Yellow line) thanks to which is possible to reach the “Duomo” in 15 minutes only. The “Isola” area is very close and is really a nice place, full of new interesting cultural proposals and a fantastic spot for “Night Movida” .If you will be back in Milan we hope you will chose Four Points one more time.

I visited this hotel a couple of times for business reasons. The first time was in May 2012 and overall experience was good.
Visited again in 2013, unfortunately the service was not the best.
A guy working at the entrance (not at the reception), was not very polite, he made me feel unwelcome even if I was there for a couple of days already. It seems that there was a difference on their treatment when I arrived with formal clothes after work and when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon -wearing less formal- I thought that type of discrimination was over a long time ago. Hotel Manager has apologized after I sent them my feedback through their website, which I still appreciate.

Positives: Good breakfast and breakfast area. The restaurant is good for Dinner too and service was good.Rooms are comfortable.
Negatives: Staff doesn't seem to be relaxed. Wi-Fi quality is really poor.

On my next trip to Milano I will consider going to a different hotel, so I can compare.
For Business reasons it can be a good hotel; for tourist and pleasure I would suggest people to go to another area not so close to Milano Centrale.
A few improvements could make of this a really good hotel.
