Good hotel within 10 minute walk from Milan centrale station - but make sure you know where it is because the taxi drivers won't want to take you because it's too close for a decent fare ( unless they take you for a ride.....) . Also only a couple of minutes from the red metro line - 45 minutes direct to the Milan Expo.
Milan Centrale station is 50 mins train ride from Malpensa airport.

I have been to Milan 4-5 times for weekend trips, and always stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels. The ADI Doria Grand is probably the best value for money I had in all my trips. It looks like a typical Italian hotel that was "grand" once 40 or 50 years ago, and still has the same style. They kept the appliances and furniture well preserved, and have comfortable beds. Rooms and bathrooms are big, and the breakfast room is quite chic.

Location of the hotel is perfect if you arrive at Milano Centrale train station (i.e. if you come by train or with the bus from the airport). It's a 5 minute walk from there, and there are two Metro stations with two different Metro lines close by to get you to all the main places in Milano.

The only downside to the hotel was the rather slow check-out service at the reception (they ignored us and served customers coming later and pushing in first), and the fact that the neighbourhood itself is not the most beautiful in the world (but then again, not many neighbourhoods in Milan are). Plus internet/WiFi is not included.

So to conclude, for the low price we paid (GBP 75), it was a great hotel to be at and I would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Higher floors are nicer, as view out the back is into a courtyard looking straight at other blocks...

Our family stayed here for one night some time ago, but I am just now getting to write this review. The location is good, safe and close to transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. So much to do in Milan, the Last Supper, the Duomo and the shops! Could have stayed longer, will most likely return!

It is very good hotel for Milan, with quite reasonable price. When I read the previous responses, many wrote that in hotel unkind and cold staff. We have led in hotel of 3 nights and I have not noted anything similar. On the contrary, all serving hotels were kind, smiling and ready to help.
The hotel is allocated close from station and is close from two metro stations. On the contrary a good supermarket. We had standard room, it's was very good, convenient and silent. Small lacks only that there is no teapot in a room and the Internet to the paid. Excellent cleaning in a room. I very much liked a breakfast - a good choice, there is a hot omelette, fruits, an excellent batch. Besides, the kind staff is interested at once, whether you wish coffee or tea. Also it is really present coffee in a beautiful coffee pot, instead of not clear liquid from the automatic machine of self-service. This hotel really deserves title Grand.
I was disappointed only with a zone round hotel concerning restaurants. Probably, it generally a problem of Milan. It is a lot of pizzerias (but a pizza far not such quality, as in Naples))) with a small choice of dishes. Was a problem to find nearby a place with really good meal.

Check in a bit slow as they didn’t notice me as they were chatting in the office but after that the service was great. I was in a very nice room on the 4th floor facing the back so it was very quiet. They give you a voucher for free internet, its supposed to be an hour free but they gave me extra. The location is fine and once you have figured it out its 10 minutes to the station on foot. If you take the other direction you will come out on Corso Buenos Aires which has over 350 shops and outlets. Just at the start there is BAR GATTO, Via Pier Luigi Da Palestrina, 1. Go for breakfast / lunch as there is a great atmosphere there and really friendly service.
Downsides of the hotel, breakfast finishes at 10am and I think at the weekend they could stretch to at least 10.30am as also if you want it in your room its 8€ to deliver. Breakfast was not the best ever but the dining room staff bring you fresh coffee or tea. Amenities were low, 1 shampoo & 1 bath gel, no moisturizing cream which I would have expected in a 4* hotel.

Over all a great stay and I would for sure go back.

Room Tip: get a room at the back.

The ADI Milan was amazing.
Travelers: 2 twenty year old females - Canadian
We had been travelling around Italy by train for a couple of weeks and we truly felt at home in Milan thanks to this Hotel. Before this we had stayed in a smaller hotel in Bolzano (Dont miss this town: Italian alps, Otzi the iceman, so peaceful) and we didnt know what to expect. The hotel is located about 3 or 4 blocks from the train station from which we walked with all our luggage (not difficult). I found the location perfect, it was in a side neighborhood still downtown, surrounded by smaller businesses and quiet streets. The subway is just around the corner from the hotel (which the staff was more than helpful in pointing out) which is by far the easiest subway to get around on. The entire hotel is Victorian feeling - the rooms were great and larger than most in Italy. They also had an electronic system for housekeeping, press a button on the inside that would connect outside the room to let housekeeping know if you wanted your room turned out. The food was great in the morning (get there early). Milan has the best shopping, art galleries and museums found around the duomo and park.
The only trouble we had was finding a laundromat. This was an adventure. After asking the desk (female, quite unhelpful) and going out on two unsuccessful trips with almost a months worth of laundry, we found ourselves at least 20 blocks from the hotel. Luckily a local business owner (with absolutely no english) locked up his shop to walk us another couple of blocks to a laundromat. Safe to say if you need laundry wait for Firenze - they are everywhere!

We stayed there from 31 Dec 2011 till 3 Jan 2012, 3 nights at about Euro 87.45 per night for a double room. When we first arrived in Milan and it being our first time there, it took us a while (about 30 mins) to find the hotel though we had a map with us. Thanks to a nice old gentleman who pointed us to the right road. After which, it always take us about 10 mins to get to Stazione Centrale

I like the fact that there is a small supermarket just across the road, easy access to groceries. Further down the hotel about 5 mins walk, you will reach Corso Buenos Aires where you can find McDonalds and some shops.

I think we had room 828 (or 826, I can't remember exactly).
Rooms are cleaned daily with towels changed.
While certain part of the hotel has definitely aged, it did not quite bother us as we were out most of the time anyway. However, one thing to note is that the hair dryer in my room was spoilt.

Breakfast was good, can't complain about the variety offered. The breakfast room's staff were also friendly and helpful.
Front desk gentlemen were kind too and helped us with quite a fair bit of our questions.

I would have loved it if they can provide free WIFI service. 1 hour per stay, whether you stay 1 night, 3 nights or 5 nights is too little. Else, 1 hour per night will work better.
