breakfast is very rich, with fruits and salad,
for the price we have paid is very very convenient

I was extremely exhausted and excited to be going to Milan. I was only going to be there for one day before going to Venice.

First, I was so exhausted, I probably could have slept at the train station (it might have been more comfortable). It is summer and incredibly hot, but the airconditioner does not work.
The room is really awful, small and dingy-looking. I know Milan is not cheap, but I was hoping for something a LITTLE better than this for the price!

The bed: tiny and hard as rocks (so are the pillows)
The walls: not at all soundproof. Extremely noisy.
The room: depressing

Seriously, save your cash and go elsewhere. Or treat yourself to something better. This is just awful.

The hotel is a 2 star if not 1. Breakfast is good, service is good but the facility itself is mediocre. The washroom was the smallest I have ever seen in my life. Location is good close to the central station. Rate is perfect. Good for a day or 2, or if you want to save money. The good thing about the hotel is the free wifi everywhere

Room Tip: Ask for a large room

The good thing is, it's sort of close to the train station. Honestly, if you looked into this hotel because you wanted to find somewhere close to the train station, there are a million other hotels that are ACTUALLY close (much closer than Mennini is) to the station.

Me and my friend barely had two hours sleep that night, firstly, because the freaking A/C was soooooooo loud while not working at all. It has been so hot in Milan these days, and imagine the A/C doesn't work, but only have extremely bad noise all night.

The front desk was cold as ice, not helpful, not friendly, nobody says hi to you, and don't even expect anyone would help you with big luggage.

The room was in very very mediocre condition.

And a couple of local friends also said to us that this neighborhood is not the safest place to stay.

Yeah, so, overall, pretty bad experience!!!

We stayed in Rm 201 for one night on 4th June. It was an extremely disappointing finale for our 11days Italy holiday. The room's air-conditioner let out such a loud noise, we couldnt sleep the whole night. It was like a train running right in front of us. It was terrible. We strongly recommend NEVER TO STAY in this hotel. We had to get down to complain about not being able to switch on the air-conditioner and he was very reluctant to get help for us until we asked for his manager. We can't believe how this hotel can be in the 3 star category. The staff doesnt even understand basic English. The reception staff kept telling us that there is no air-condition in our room and after 15-20minutes of continuous conversation, he finally got a 'technician' to come to our room and switch on the air-condioner manually. The air-conditioner did had cold air but the noise was so terrible. As the reception staff refuse to do anything else for us i.e. change another room, we had to bear with the noise. It was our last night in Italy and it made our tour of Italy so saddening. We would really like to ask how such a hotel can be categorized into the 3 stars category and carry a recommendation from Tripadvisor?!?!?

Room Tip: Room 201 - its worst than HELL!!!!
