After raising a complaint file with both Best Western & the hotel detailing how I could not have stayed at the hotel since the hotels smell ( which the front office director referenced as “our usual smell” ) and the 2 subsequent rooms toxic aroma were in habitable made it impossible for me to stay so 45 minutes after arrival, moving rooms twice. I left. And with no senior leadership team to speak to I was requested to send an e mail.
The hotel responded they could not resell the room, hence the room was not fit for occupation.
And worst still, irrespective of my checking in to a best western at a higher rate 5 minutes away and subsequently staying a further 4 nights at 2 other best western hotels in nearby cities (of which I had no complaint) A total of 6 nights and as many thisabd Euros.
Best western have thanked me for my loyalist by resoinding their management structure cannot impact or influence any complaints raised at hotel level.
I will continue to pursue my complaint. In the meantime I highly recommend an alternative change that recognizes loyalty and a hotel that keep guest satisfaction at forefront of mind. Needless to say this will be the last of my money spent within best western portfolio.
