“Excellent location, but have a few problems”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2013

This hotel is located across from the main train station. There are numerous other hotel options nearby. This is costs a little more than others so I expect it to the superior than others. It partially met my expectations.

Pros
-Excellent location. It's across the street from the main train station, subway, airport shuttle (10 euros to the airport). It's the best location in town.
-Newly renovated inside. Very modern.
-Very good breakfast with lots of variety. There was a female waiter there who really made an impression of being friendly, delightful and efficient.
-Some food options nearby.

Cons
-I was given an small corner room. It's about half the size of a normal hotel room. I almost felt claustrophobic. I felt like I was in Japan.
-The subway is directly underneath the hotel. When the subway passes you can hear. During non-peak hour it's every 8 minutes or so, but much more frequent during peak hours. When the train passes the building rumbles a little. Not good for light sleeper. Otherwise there is no street noise from the outside.
-8 euros per day of internet. And the WIFI reception is poor and drops out often.
-Unlike the friendly female waiter in the breakfast room, the front desk staff wasn't too friendly.
-The bed is a bit hard.

The highlight of the hotel is the location. I think it can improve on its front desk service. Overall it's a good hotel because it's newly renovated and well located.

We found the location of the Hotel convenient with the Station across the road and access to underground and national trains within mins walk. The hotel was very well presented and the rooms were of a decent size for Europe standard with good amenities and the bonus of Tea and coffee and an excellent complimentary breakfast in a very pleasant breakfast room.
Staff were very helpful .

Room Tip: The corner rooms seemed larger.

Very nice hotel with all amenities in the room you would expect for 4* (tea& coffee, pillow menu, bathrobes etc) makes your stay very comfortable. The location is convenient for tourism and shopping. Very good service as well, just ask if you need anything. Grazie!

Room Tip: Let the staff know your preferences and needs and they will do their best to please you.

Enjoyed our stay, room was clean and welcoming... Not too small. Quite a surprise as outside did not look like much!

Tv had the news on English and movies on demand. Bathroom was good though shower pressure hurt a bit.

Breakfast was complete with pastries breads cheeses and meats as well as cereals yoghurts and real coffee. The staff were polite and helpful.

Were there 3 weeks ago. Actually this is a 4-star hotel with certain number of amenities: big room (we had a double approximately 30 sq. m with big mirrows which i liked much), bathrobes and slippers, some stuff in bath, friendly staff both in reception and while breakfast, so comfortable pillow, that i want the same at home. Breakfast is nothing special but enough to start your day up (2 kinds of meat, 2 kinds of cheese, some sweets, fruits, omlet and boiled eggs, cereals). There was no crowd during the breakfast as i read in some reviews, but breakfast room is rather small for such big hotel, despite it was compensated but very friendly waiters. Location is very convinient, but bear in mind - metro is on the -2 floor of this hotel :) So if you don't want to feel tremble of it stay on the highest floors. Price is absolutely reasonable for such hotel so i strongly recommend it.

Stayed her after booking through the top secret rooms via lastminute.com. Location great for accessing the city via Metro, Immediate area not too bad,.. Watch out however for the Pizzeria and bar at No.12 which will delight in ripping you off for drinks and food and then expect a tip. overall safe enough day and night if you can avoid getting run over by enthusiastic drivers trying to get to the main station! The hotel is well appointed with all comforts, the decor is nice. We had a room on the top floor, providing fantastic views of the city. room was serviced regularly and to a high standard- when we needed to contact reception about some minor faults they were taken care of immediately. Didn't dine at the hotel so cannot comment on the food apart from breakfast which was well provided for and very satisfactory. Would certainly return if in the area again as it 'ticked enough boxes' for our purposes. Thank you to staff and management for making our brief visit an enjoyable one.

Room Tip: Head for a high floor to avoid street noise but if you go for the very top there might be some hummi...
