Took the day long tour to Lake Como with my two, teenage kids. A beautiful area, with gorgeous weather on the day we went as well. About a 45 minute bus ride from the centre of Milan to the town of Como. Included a brief stop at a villa before the town centre, a short walking tour of the town centre and beautiful Duomo, a funicular ride to the top of Mt. Brunette, some free time after lunch, and finally a one hour cruise on Lake Como before the return trip to Milan. We had been spoiled on the tours we had taken in Rome, Florence and Venice as they were either private or small groups. This tour had about 50 people, so the stops at particular sites were rather short and the history provided was a bit cursory at times (understandably with 50 people). Also, there was 2 hours of "free time" in the early afternoon, which we found a bit long. But overall it is a beautiful location that should be seen, and a decent tour experience.
