I stayed at The Marconi when it was in the midst of renovation and expansion. Now is is a 4 star hotel that should be proud of itself. It is a well run hotel and I would return to. The reception staff was always accommodating and most spoke good english which was a help to this poor Italian speaker. The entire hotel is clean, clean clean!!! The breakfast is plentiful and varied and the location is convenient and safe. This is now my hotel in Milan!

I loved the hotel accomodations. Hated the staff.
It is very clean, very well located, close to the central station and very charming. The room is spacious and the bathroom for Europe standards is ok.
The staff is very unhelpful and cruncky. Don't expect ANY help from them.
The breakfast was good too.

We stayed at the Marconi for 3 nights at the end of January, we chose the Hotel because it was close enough to the Station for us to walk from and too the Airport Shuttle Bus
We arrived at hotle before lunch, and as our room was not yet ready they checked us in and kept our bags for us, later taking them to our room ready for our return.
The room was large and very clean with a wonderful bathroom, we could not fault the service at all - Breakfast was a delight, a great way to start the day before pounding the streets.
The hotel is located a few yards from the the Tram stop which we found was an excellent way to get around.
We would without doubt stay at the Marconi again if we were in Milan

I recently stayed one night at the Marconi Hotel to experince the Sales in Milan (second week of January). I was able to book a double room for only €88 (approx. $120) at their own Website. This rate included a breakfastbuffet which was quite good for Italian standards.

The room was ok in size and most important very clean. The badroom was a bit small but also very clean (I'm always annoyed to find hears from previous guest, but I wasn't able to find any) and classy looking.

The staff was very friendly (deskpersonal and breakfastlady). They were probably the kindest hotel staff I encountered so far in Italy. Especially the young man at the front desk was very charming and helpfull in giving directions and information.

We arrived very early (09:00) at the hotel and we were given our room directy, even though check-inn is from 14:00. I really appriciated that, because it anabled us to plan our shoppingspree in our hotelroom before heading to the citycentre. Upon request they gave us a room facing the courtyard. Therefor we didn't hear any traffic noise from outside and I was able to sleep very comfortably (I'm a very light sleeper). Also the next day we were able to drop our luggage at their luggagedepot which was very convenient.

The hotel is located ony 10 min walking from Milan Central Station. And it was less then 5 min walk to Republica Metro Station. We did everything mostly by foot since the Historical Centre of Milan is not so large. And It's so much nicer to explore a city by foot.

Must see is Da Vinci's Last Supper and also the rooftop of the Duomo was BEAUTIFUL!

Hotel Marconi was a good value for the money only because I got a really good discount during the low season. The room is very big and confort, the breakfast is really great, the staff was friendly, however the bathroom had a TERRIBLE smell and the location is ok, but not so close to the metro.

On the whole we were very pleased with this hotel. We had ordered a room for three and were given a VERY tiny room with three beds crammed in. Since it was for only one night it was not a problem. The hotel is very clean and the shower is hot with lots of pressure. It is also located near the yellow metro line which takes you straight to the Duomo. The breakfast was terrific. We had to leave early for the bus to Malpensa so overall this was a good choice for us.

Incredible stay, massively enjoyable, opulent marble features.
300 metres from the central stations, 9euro if you cant walk and need to take a taxi.
no name on the hotel except huge white illuminated letters saying 'HOTEL'
some building work happening on facade, have to walk the plank to get in but worth the walk because of the awesome revolving pie chart that brings you into the lobby
beautiful lobby, lots of marble.
very nice reception man pronounced one of our names in a very very funny manner. same man gave us a pop corn one nite
very nice room for the price, big bed, loads of sheets and towels.
good hotel for slumber parties
excellent light deflecting curtains, slept for 23 hours by accident one of the days.
our room had a big window with views of a huge tower with a flashing light on top
but also views of manky building across the street.
best staff in a hotel, one cleaning lady in particular stood out for us, an excellent listener and practical joker, ask for martha to clean your room and take full advantage, believe me it will be worth it.
lovely breakfast, they have an incorrect chart of english names under pictures of the foods, if offered salty brioche or cakes with vegetables in them, just get them
very very hard boiled eggs that can be kept as pets.
