“So Good we ate here twice within 24 hours!”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

We had made reservations weeks ahead of time via email for 730p on 21 October and were promptly seated when we showed up to a lovely table for two. The restaurant, the staff, the atmosphere were all very welcoming. The restaurant was quiet but within 30 minutes the place was buzzing and it stayed this way all night with a queue at 10p for people waiting to be seated.

We were brought a complimentary champagne cocktail with the menus and there was two kinds of bread on the table which were both delicious.

We shared everything from starters to desserts and there was plenty of everything. We started with the Scallops au Gratin and then on to the Spaghetti with Lobster which was a huge portion with lovely sweet fresh lobster. We then had the the fresh tuna fish with pistachio crust which was genius and cooked perfectly. We had two side dishes which were the potatoes with cheese, onion and bacon and the fennel and ping grapefruit salad which was recommended by our waiter to accompany the tuna and it matched perfectly.

For dessert we had the three tiramisu which was heavenly. This was all washed down with mineral water and a bottle of house red which was only 10 euros and quality!

Total bill for that evening was 64 euro. We wished we could have eaten more but our waiter was always advising this or that was enough. Service was great and attentive even though the restaurant was full.

We enjoyed our meal so much we made a reservation for lunch the next day. Lunch was just as good and the same welcoming champagne cocktail was brought to our table. They do have great lunch specials at 9 euro and 12 euro which includes 2 courses and coffee or a glass of wine and a small dessert, though we opted to order of the regular menu.

For lunch we had the ceasar salad, fried calamari and breaded prawns, ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffle and the 3 way tiramisu again. Another bottle of red wine as a glass is 4 and a bottle is 10 so it's a no brainer. The waiter remembering us from the evening before suggested a different bottle of house red which was also excellent. Total cost 58 euro. The evening had a mix of tourists and locals though by later there was mostly local and lunch seemed to be the complete business crowd with only us being the tourists.

It was a rainy day that Tuesday in Milan and we happily went off to our planned visit of "The Last Supper"

“Good value”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

I made a reservation via email weeks beforehand, confirmation of reservation was promptly received. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, we arrived early and it was fairly quiet but within an hour the place was packed and buzzing. The food was ok, nice but nothing special but excellent value for the centre of Milan, very reasonably priced wine as well! Service was good. Overall a good experience!

“Good, but there's room for improvement”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

Situated just off Via Torino, a short walk from Piazza Duomo, one can finds Nerino Dieci, a popular restaurant with the locals.

Menu is varied, offering also a menu of mussels cooked in different ingredients. Price are very reasonable.

We had a booking, however we were left nearly 20 minutes waiting to get our table. Then we were seated, however there was a problem with the air condition and temperature wasn't the ideal.

As a starter we opted for a bowl of mussels, fresh and very good, cooked to perfection.

Pasta followed, nothing special, had much better in Milan.

For main course I opted for a catoletta while my friend had fresh tuna in a pistacchio coating. My catoletta was very good, and so was the tuna. We also had a side of potatoes, which were excellent.

Bill including a bottle of wine came to €105, which for what we had, is good value for me. Should the service have been better, the client would be more satisfied.

I do recommend this place.

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed 9 October 2013 via mobile

We had an early reservation as they were fully booked for later in the evening, however, the staff was welcoming and gracious although we were very early for an Italian dinner! Their food was superb: from the salads to the salumi appetizer to the veal Milanese and the grilled beef. The potatoes with bacon and onions are not the be missed as are the cauliflower contorni. The crema Catalana dessert was delicious. Their wine list is extensive and well priced. Its high ranking is well deserved.
