what a disappointing place, a nice historic building (from the outside), unfortunately with 1970's internal re-fit, and furniture to match. At half the price it would be passable, but at the 85 euros I paid it wasn't. Bathroom is poor, bed are poor, decor is old and tired, and the service is indifferent. Free WiFi would have made me feel a bit more charitable, alas it cost 10 euro's a day.

Save your money and try elsewhere.

If you are a North American looking for a Sheraton experience, this is not the hotel for you.
This is a typical European business hotel with the absolute basics.
I have no idea what people we complaining about the noise , I slept with my balcony door open all night facing the courtyard and was only woken in the am with the church bells, (insert Italian music sequence)
The quirks are the staff, they are truly out of a Felini or woody Allen movie, with the deadpan expressions of Monty Python. It adds flavor, but this is a business hotel, not concierge service with chocolats on the pillows.
The breakfast is typical of every European business hotel, and is self serve. The view of the inner courtyard and it's serenity and calm quiet nature , make this an inspiring start to the day.
Regulars get a discount and can negotiate, our gang has used this place for 20 years during the Milan furniture fairs, I also come back when traveling through Milano .
Location location location, 5 minute walk to train and metro station and easy walk to tourist traps.
Enjoy and think of dead parrot sketch when checking in at front desk.

The location is lovely and if you get a room with a view of Santa Maria delle Grazie, you might even overlook the inflated price for a nothing-above-average room. You're better off without purchasing the hotel wireless and instead buying a cheaper wifi option from Vodafone.

I guess it is ok if you count that you are in the heart of the city and the level is average. However I find it a rather cold place for many reasons. It seems to me the usual place that puts leverage on the fact that it is well located but that offers nothing but the minimum.
The breakfast is so impersonal that it is difficult to define.
reception is as warm as in a hospital - yet efficient.
If you need parking you can in a private garage (different owner from hotel) almost in front of the hotel (very pricy but convenient and do not forget you get a discount if you stay in this hotel).
The hotel is built in an old palace with a nice central courtyard and is convenient if you need to use any of the congress services provided. The bookship is ok but the bookshop further down the road is nicer. The café/restaurants (both the one at the first floor and the one down under) have a "cold" service yet the food is really nice.

First of all the staff (receptionists, waiters at breakfast) were not friendly and helpful at all. Beside the poor English knowledge, already at the check-in arriving to the reception I should have waited until the recepitonist had finished their conversation between each other. Furthermore they behaved as they would have maked me a favour with the check-in.
Therei is no free wifi in the hotel but there is the opportunity to buy internet (1 hour 3 EUR, 1 day 10 EUR, 3 days 20 EUR). It was not mentioned that however there is the possibility to log out nevertheless the counter does not stop. Complaining about this at the reception the answer of them was "it is like this".
The breakfast was also pretty poor. Not saying anything about the quality of the room.
For this price I do not recommend this hotel in Milan!
