Modernly designed, very comfortable hotel, just 5 minutes walk from the Duomo. Rooms are spacey, very comfortable, well equipped. All very reasonably priced for a downtown location. Breakfasts are very good, just what you expect from a 4* hotel. Fully recommendable for a weekend city break. Short distance walk to a metro station, Duomo and Vittorio Emanuele.

Room Tip: Any room is ok, the street is no very busy so, there's not much noise anyway

In spite of the fact we had requested non allergenic bedding before checking in and even asking again on check in if the bedding contained feathers we were not told the truth I am asmathic and very allergic to feather pillows or duvets so when we actually checked the bedding ourselves we of course discovered the Italian word for feathers. On checking with the housekeeper we found they only had feather duvets, they did not even have any blankets so be had to sleep with only two linen sheets .This was not what we expected from one of accord flagship hotels. This hotel is well situated but has miserable restaurant facilities and rooms where you cannot open the bedroom windows.

Stayed here while visiting Milan in March 2013 with a couple of friends who were staying elsewhere, while we did the Stramilano 10K run.

It was comfortable, stylish and nice. Biggest plus was the location, which was a short (10 minutes for me) walk from The Duomo. It was also close to two metro stations. As this was my 3rd visit to Milan, I know the centre of the City well, so this worked well for me. The breakfast was nice and varied as well.

I was staying on a three nights for the price of two deal over the weekend; I don't think I'd be prepared to pay the full price; not because there was anything wrong with the hotel, just because I don't feel I could justify the expense.

Two grumbles; the free WiFi is only available in the lobby in 30 minutes batches and you have to log-in each time via a passcode from reception. To access WiFi in the room you had to pay. For the price of the hotel I felt this was a bit stingy and not very business focussed. The hotel could also be improved by a fitness centre.

Having stated the above, I still enjoyed the hotel.

Very good located, comfortable rooms, modern bathroom, friendly staff - positive evaluations of this hotel. Good breakfast, many options. Learn how to use public transportation to main tourist atractions in Milan, hotel location is able to offer many choices. Price is slightly high for this hotel but it is well paid.

The key issue for me was no iron or trouser press in the room-I was on business and needed to iron my clothes for the next two days.
When I called reception to ask for an iron they said they can’t give me one because of fire safety and offered to iron it for me (of course not mentioning that they will charge me).
Long story short it took three phone calls and extra days to get my blouse ironed well. Though they did take the charge off my bill upon check out when I complained.

All staff were very friendly and proffesional and the room was clean. The bathroom grout and silicon sealant needs updating and the light in the cupboard was not working. The in-room amenities were great and plentiful (even make up remover and facial tonic) and wide choice in mini-bar. The safe was easy to use and would easily accommodate larger laptop.

The work desk in their smallest single room is so small that even my tiny laptop was too big for it so not great when you need to do some work or want to eat in the room.
Room service was fast -my sandwich for dinner arrived in the promised 15 mintues.

I recall the hotel website claims the rooms are soundproofed-I would say they are sound-insulated. It’s not as bad as some hotels but I could hear the sirens at night and slamming doors down the hall.
Breakfast was OK -the fresh pastries and bread were great but I would avoid the eggs as they look as they have colorant added to make them more yellow. I did not notice any menu choices for made to order dishes.
AC independently controlled which would be great in summer + you can open the window if you want real fresh air.

Room Tip: Get a high floor if possible. Room 801 is last in the hall next to fire exit so very quiet as no-one...

Uptown Palace has an amazing location. Very near to 2 metro stations on the yellow line as well as close proximity to the tram. Just a tram station away from the Duomo. You could walk it up in 15 mins if weather permits.
The hotel was good, rooms were of standard size. Amazing bathrooms and bathroom supplies. Although the hotel does not provide a wine bottle opener, you can always order it on room service. One drawback is that the hotel does not provide an iron.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast spread is decent as well.

Would definitely choose this hotel the next time I'm in Milan.

The hotel had good service, was fairly conveniently located (a tram service to the Duomo less than 3 minutes walk away made a huge difference) and new. We stayed for 5 days. Our room was a decent size but the room was so very dark! We just could not get enough light to make our room brighter. And there was not enough wardrobe space or drawers for clothes. The sink in the bathroom leaked and the maintenance panel for the bath tub had fallen and never fixed. Breakfast in the mornings was good though. And all hotel personnel were friendly and efficient. So many small details already faulty in this 1 year old hotel. What a pity. It has so much potential.
