“Italy from a post card”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

The area is nice and welcoming. Far from a "party area" as they describe it...
but perfect for a nice romantic walk & dinner

“Artsy and colorful”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

After visiting the Pinacoteca di Brera, we started looking for a little cafe called Madonna on via Madonnina, which we never found because we hid in another cafe from an unexpected afternoon shower and ended up eating there. However, while looking for the Madonna, we discovered an area of vibrant energy and my new favorite eclectic gallery, L'oro dei farlocchi

“Worth a walk”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Definitely worth walking up here from the center (10-15 minutes from the cathedral square, depending on your pace), and then perhaps turning towards the castle.

“One of the best quarters of Milan”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Brera or Brera Design District as it is called is one of the most beautiful and characteristic quarters of Milan, plenty of galleries, local shops of any kind of goods - clothes, art, food, design and furniture. There are many really nice bars and restaurants. Do not miss Corso Garibaldi, via Moscova, Corso Como, via Fiori Chiari, via Ponte Vetero… Strehler Theater... you’ll find out that Milan is far more beautiful than it is commonly described.

“Not as lively as expected”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

Yes there were a lot of leather goods shops and restaurants and the prices generally reasonable but there wasn't much other variety and it wasn't so lively. Also some of the shopkeepers were very rude and downright racist.
