“Not too bad”
Reviewed 20 July 2012 via mobile

I have been in many better thai restaurants, i do not know if i will go back. It is an average good food, price is ok (136 euro in 4 with Singha beer and starters + 1 main for everybody).
I have not had the same feeling of a real thai restaurant in Thailand. There is a good choice of food and the ambiance is nice, i will maybe give a second chance.

“Not fulfilling its potential”
Reviewed 8 July 2012

I went with a friend to eat here on Friday evening having heard good reviews from friends.
The restaurant is decorated to a high standard and there is a real calm ambience which we both agreed was refreshing in a chaotic city centre. On our arrival we were given a fruit juice and prawn crackers, which although a nice touch, not authentic Thai! We ordered spring rolls and dumplings to start and were surprised that they minuscule and with all the flavours of Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately our main courses were not much better, we ordered a Thai green curry and chicken with basil. Both dishes came to the table hot and with a wonderful fragrance. Unfortunately the quality of the chicken was poor, very fatty and greasy, and there were hardly any vegetables, disappointing considering the curry should come with aubergine. Such a shame as the flavours of the curry in particular were great.
We ordered tea as opposed to dessert (there was Italian sorbetto on the menu amongst other things rather than thai influenced desserts) and it was lovely, served in beautiful mugs.
For two starters, two mains, rice, and drinks we paid €25 each, a little steep for the poor quality and portion size perhaps. For me I think it has the potential to be a fantastic Thai restaurant, it just needs to stick to it's authentic dishes and less of the gimmicks (it wasn't necessary to have the fruit juice and Chinese prawn crackers in my opinion) as the service and surroundings are excellent.

“Disappointing - Un pò deludente”
Reviewed 28 June 2012

Had a dinner with a friend, and while the place is nice, nice atmosphere, outdoor area, and kind service, i was a bit disappointed by the food.
I appreciated the fruit cocktail they serve as soon as you enter, but with chinese prawn crackers, and i found that odd, i never ate anything like that in Thailand. We got the appetizers, a mixed hot entree and some rolls, and they were tiny and with a deja vu of chinese cuisine.. again nothing i ever tried in other thai restaurants or in thailand itself.
We then got a main course, chicken green curry, and we sincerely couldn't finish it, the chicken was raw! maybe i would have been luckier with a pad thai but that curry was a real disappointment. Poor in veggie and in spiciness also. To end the dinner we got some fruit, and voila, add 2 small beers and you get a check of 35 euros each... a bit too much for what we got. i left the place with a nice orchid in my hand that they gave as a compliment but dissatisfied by the dinner.a

“Not Japanese”
Reviewed 8 June 2012

It's funny, there seemed to be an enormous choice of Japanese restaurants near Porta Romana. This place was Thai and did a reasonable menu of standard Thai dishes (not much vegetarian). Service was a bit patchy as we chose to sit in the tables outside and probably got a bit forgotten about (though there were plenty of staff). The nice little water feature near the back door is the highlight of this restaurant. €80 for 3 dining with wine.

“Delicious dinner!”
Reviewed 29 May 2012

A large group of my friends and I ate at this restaurant last night. The food overall was very good. We sampled the chicken satay, the spring rolls, and the "golden bags" off the appetizer list. We had to try them with such an interesting name. The pad thai and the currys were also delicious. Overall, most really enjoyed all the meals. Prices seem reasonable overall. Location is easy to get to from public transportation.
