Hidden behind the street facade, this - what I would expect to see in New York Hotel - was a total surprise! This was certainly not what I expected - the decor is fascinating. So different, so busy and so so interesting, i could have spent quite a few hours 'investigating' some of the items, books, etc. I found the whole place interesting and memorable. The location is very good, not at all the area I have stayed in on previous visits to Milan, the extensive restoration work currently happening does not add to the area, however, it is not disruptive to the hotel due to the tucked away location
The one disruptive activity was someone hurrying up and down the corridor until approx 0130, not sure what was happening but it was enough to disturb the night.
I realize smoking is more acceptable in Italy, however for a non smoker, the entrance was clouded in smoke due to guests/people smoking in the door way. I have to emphasis that when I mentioned that I was uncomfortable with this it was dealt with immediately.
All in all a very pleasant experience an experience that was not expected in MilanMore
