Staying at the hotel as part of a conference. Got a room facing the inner square - not really an issue, as it is too hot to open the windows. AC works great in the rooms, but is cosi-cosi in some of the common areas. The location is perfecto for attending MiCo based conferences. They have just reopened their Level lounge and seemed to be plugging the floor extensively on my arrival. Breakfast included in the Level floor services and is more than adequate for even the fussiest of travellers. The NEW Level Lounge opened today and the staff and management were clearly excited about the new locales. My only suggestion is that the lounge is a bit noisy and it might be worth adding a wall to separate the staff desk from the inner area. Meals purchased in room are slightly different from those available at the bar - great food in general. Wish I spoke more Italian as I find it rude to not be able to even converse at a basic level, but the staff have been extremely approachable and politely receptive to my grati, preggo and per favores. Wifi very well could have been free for everyone, but I was given a code 1. due to staying on the level floor and 2 due to having signed up to the loyalty rewards program.

Room Tip: You really should not be in the rooms much - you are on vacation. That said, getting a clean room s...

I can't understand how some reviewers can have been at the same hotel as I have the hotel was clean - the staff helpful - the food excellent. The wi-fi worked well. The room I had had obviously been newly refurbished and couldn't have been faulted. It is close to the Underground so travel across Milan is easy and quick. I'd happily come back here again

We spent a couple of nights in the hotel and we were absolutely delighted. The rooms are elegantly furnished and clean. The staff is very polite and helpful. It is a distance from the city center but that did not bother us because the metro station is a five minute walk. There is a car parking right next to the hotel and it is 20 euros per night.

As a tour leader this 5star hotel was the worse one that i'v seen in my job!
We had 8 rooms for our guests but they never gave us even 1Euro discount!
All card keys doesn't works and we changed 3-4 times.
One star hotels staff was much better than this 5star staff, all (Specially italian staffs) was rude and non friendly. after many time that i went to reception i saw that the other guest was angry and talking loudly about their same problems.
I know that you can't imagine but all was correct and as i told them i never ever come back to this hotel

The Melia Milano serves its purpose as a good business hotel. I stayed here for one night as it was closer to the airport compared to the city centre but still had frequent and quick access to the centre. As it was a Sunday, almost everything within walking distance was shut. Staff were friendly, professional and available. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything one would expect from a business hotel - nothing more and nothing less.

Best for business travellers. Tourists would be better off closer to the centre.

Apart from the fact it's in outer region of the shopping and attractions that is easily assessable by public transport I would not stay in this hotel again. They are very arrogant in the way of customer service and after travelling for several hours and needing an iron it is refused by saying it is a fire hazard and you need to give 24 hours notice for your garments to be ironed. There is no turn down service and no warm greeting when your in the lobby.
Thank you Hotel Melia Milano for making my experience to Italy worth while!!!!

This Hotel in Milan is one of my favorites. The area is not that centric but at the same time it has an easy access from the autostradas and very easy to move with lots of public transport options. There is a metro station a few blocks away and there are multiple bus stops close by. The hotel fulfills its purpose. Its a business orientated hotel in a reserve area of the city.

The rooms are very nice, the bed is very comfortable and it has a very particular style of design. The breakfast its maybe the best feature of the hotel with a huge dining room and lots of options (the banana cake its marvelous). The staff its very helpful and can handle english customers in a very efficient way (something rare sometimes in Italy).

There are some shortfalls of course. Some of the services provided by the hotel tend to be very steep. Laundry, some room service extras and even the price of the breakfast. Still, its always a pleasure to stay here and its a sure option for me every time I go to Milan if I want some peace. Really good.

PS: In a side note, its a hotel that is commonly used by football teams to stay since its close to the Stadium. Usually either Inter or Milan used the hotel as well.
