starding with the place, the neiborhood, there is also a "gentlens house" on a side and in fornt of the hotel.
the people of the hotel try hard to make a good service ,but did not save it.
is very close to de station, but in this case, the is bad, because it is a very dirty region snd very busy(it was good to run away to the airport, but it was all)
the bulding is from the mid 20's ,but the is also very bad. the room was too smal and the shower does nat fit me.
so, try some where else.
and i pay 275 euros, and whem a was checking in there was a couple who ask for a room and the ofher for 250 euros...
rummmmm

Dear Lairton,

We are saddened and also a bit surprised for your feedback.

Our location, close to the main train central station, is considered to be a perfect base for visiting Milan and is most convenient if traveling to and from all Milan airports via shuttle – bus service.

Guests are literally dropped off just few hundreds metres away from our front door. Also, being
close to the tube station allows our guests the convenience of using the metro to travel in and around Milan freely and economical (the Duomo Cathedral and the city centre are only four stops away).

The area - and the hotel itself, which is located in a street offering 13 hotels (4 & 3 star) - is safe and tranquil with many restaurants in close proximity too.

Corso Buneos Aires, the longest shopping street in Milan, is at only 5 minute walking distance.

It is not considered a dangerous or dodgy area: however, Milan is no different from any other large European city and we urge all guests to use prudence when out and about, especially after dark.

The building is of the late 80’s and undergoes continuous renovations every year, offering our guests several room typologies (3 for single use and 3 for double use), which vary in size, interiors, amenities and other services.

During the time of your stay it was taking place in Milan the Fashion week, hotels were almost fully booked and the rates varied according to the demand.

Best regards,

Carlo Fontana, GM & Staff

Cute little hotel with a lot of charm and character. Easily the best service I received anywhere in Europe (and I was there for 8 nights) ... and better than most hotels I've been in, in the US also. Someone was always bringing me bottled water, helping with bags/directions, etc. ... no waiting to be asked. And the breakfast - WOW ... I was unfortunately dealing with a stomach bug from earlier in the week, but when I let the waiter know that, I was brought freshly made carrot juice (they have a juicer right there). I didn't know this, but confirmed later that it's great for stomach upset.

The room was almost incidental, just a place to sleep, but it was clean and the bed was soft and had everything I needed, including free wifi! And, it's easy walking distance to the Duomo (gorgeous people up and down every street on the way).

If you're going for room size, this isn't your place, but for charm, location, warmth and over-the-top service, Hotel Berna is outstanding.

Room Tip: I had the "comfort room" or something like that - the least expensive available, I think...

Spent 3 nights at the Hotel Berna in Milano Italy. Staff was very professional and courteous. They looked very proud to be working for Hotel Berna and that extended to their appearance and interaction with guests.

I had a Comfort room, which by American standards was a small but very comfortable room. Perfect for business travel. Desk to work at, free wi-fi.

Check in and check out was easy and quick.

Breakfast was a real treat. Included in my price was access to the breakfast hall. The staff inside the breakfast room are great. The options for breakfast ran from the typical Italian breakfast of pastries, coffee, hot chocolate, to American tastes of scrambled eggs and bacon, to egg bakes, etc. VERY GOOD!

Another surprise in the room is a stocked mini bar included in the cost of the room. The bar contained Coke, Diet Coke, Fruit Juices, and Water. All restocked every day and again free of charge.

Hotel Berna is two blocks from the Milano Centrale train station and close to tourist sites like the Duomo and Arcade. Decent dining options within walking distance nearby.

Would happily return to this hotel if I ever need to travel to Milan again.

Almost all reviews about this hotel are great and I believe they earn it. With your booking of your room you receive your personal account and may ask for anything according to your preference including a free minibar. This idea of minibar and rubber duck are wonderful ideas, which are not forgettable and I would congratulate the owner and the stuff, whichalso contributes to this personal approach of the hotel. Thank you for the good stay. We had a 10 day trip covering Milan, Verona, Venedik and Bologna, with four 4 star hotel experiences, you are defenitely the best.

Great little hotel. Pet friendly (they even provided a little pillow and water/food bowls for them). Heated towel racks, jacuzzi tub and great personalized services. Very attentive staff and right by the central train station.

This hotel does service right. Even before you go on your trip they allow you to 'personalize' your room by choosing things like pillow type, room temperature, and bed covering. Also you can choose what you want in your mini-bar which is free of charge! Also when I emailed them in advance about how to get to a location just outside of town they provided me with detailed instructions on how to get there that were easy to follow. The hotel is located close to the central train station as well as at the metro. When arriving at the hotel you receive a friendly greeting from the doorman as well as the front desk. The front desk was more than willing to answer all my questions and was very helpful in determining how to get around town. Also the hotel will send you an email with recommended apps to download about the city. I downloaded one of the apps and used it to navigate through the city. It worked offline and offered walking tours. I was very pleased the hotel had suggested this app to me. The breakfast buffet was delicious offering many sweet and savory options. The room service food was very good especially the pizza. And at 10 euros it was a very good deal. Just be aware that the rooms are typical European size meaning small but overall they were well organized and there was enough room for 2 people. The room was very clean. Street noise was not a problem. The wifi worked well and was free. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Berna again!

Room Tip: If possible ask for a room that is not on the street.

This hotel is fantastic, and the whole service feels really personal. Right from the personal page they offer to you to customize your room, to the free mini bar ( a first for me after many years of staying in various hotels! ) - and to top it off, a rubber ducky was waiting for me in the bathroom.

The room is clean, though quite small. The room was comfortable however but barely much room to walk after the sofa was converted to a third bed. The scent although was nice was a little overpowering, but it wasn't too bad. The whole room was clean and comfortable and that's what matters. Did I mention about the free mini bar? It was stocked with coke, orange juice and stuff. The room doesn't overlook anything glamorous but the location is perfect if you're here to catch the trains to Tirano for the Bernina Express, as the hotel is just 10 minutes walk to the train station! There are also no shortage of restaurants nearby, check out Su Garden nearby, one of the best Asian restaurants I have ever been to.

Speaking of food, this hotel's breakfast is simply amazing!! You have everything from cold cuts to cereals to eggs to variety of breads and desserts, various tea and coffee and even cup noodles! They have really outdone themselves in this department - for a European hotel, this is way way more than the average hotel offer for breakfast ! The spread is just amazing for a small hotel of this size.

This little hotel is really amazing and the personal touch in which they welcome guests is really something that I don't even get from 5 star hotels. Highly recommended.
