The hotel is located just across the street from the Milano central station.
It is a 4 stars hotel with elegant style, and not too fancy.
The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean, quiet, with big bad, flat TV, safe (big enough for the laptop), electric curtains (which shaded very well the morning light), and a minibar (with water and coke).
The bathroom was great, with 2 sinks, bide, Jacuzzi bath, and high grade washing materials, the water pressure in the shower though was not too strong.
The breakfast was great with very wide selection, and delicious fruits.
We stayed there for 3 nights, and the only down sides were that the bed was too firm for out taste and there was no complementary tea and coffee in the room.
All and al, this is a recommended hotel for your stay in Milan.

We stayed at this Hotel for one night on 22/8/2013 on our way to Genoa to board a cruise ship, and again for one more night after the cruise on our way back to Venice.
I researched this hotel on Trip Advisor prior to our travels and have to say it was even better than the reviews stated.
It was across the road from theTrain Station, maybe one minute walk.
The room itself had everything one would want, beautiful clean linen, comfortable bed, good toilet accessories, spa bath which we did'nt use., free wifi.
The breakfast was excellent, and very friendly staff. Even had a large machine you put the oranges in and out came freshly squeezed orange juice.
Around the corner we were referred to a Ristorante called "Caffe Panzera". We ate there on both occasions.
Very happy to recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room at front of hotel facing the Train Station room 710 on 22/8 and 910 on 30/8.

Although it's close to the train station, the place it self isn't the best neighbor, always thinking in medium cities centers... Despite that it has a good location and is nice and comfortable, we didn't have any problems there with comfortable beds.

AT the end of a two week trip to Italy, I satyed at the Michelangelo Hotel in MIlan. It has a great location, virtually next to the train station with easy connections to all of Milan through their public transit. Also there are several airport shuttles right there that run at all times of the day so if you arriving/departing from Milan, it is very convenient. The hotel was nice clean, the breakfast was okay, the scrambled eggs were runny but it was nice to see scrambled eggs after two weeks of croissants and fruit salad.

We spent our last night in Italy here as we were transiting through Milan to Amsterdam. We arrived by train into Milan Central and the hotel was visible from the entrance. This is a plus. Our room was ready at our arrival. It was clean, but very small. Bathroom is tiny as well. Street noises were surprisingly loud even though we were on the seventh floor. For our purposes the hotel was adequate. If you are visiting Milan on business, the hotel is more than adequate.

Room Tip: Stay on the side opposite the train station.

My wife and I stayed at the Michelangelo for three nights on our way back home from a cruise which dropped us off in Venice. We decided not to stay in Venice but take the train to Milan and spend a some time looking around the City. It was a good decision. The train took us to the Central Station which was a few minutes from the Hotel a very easy walk even with baggage, out of the station over a couple of adjacent streets and into the Hotel, couldnt be closer.
The hotel is obviously a "business hotel" although there were a couple of travel groups staying .The rooms were quite adequate,( my wife loved the large bathtub), the rooms were clean and seemed to be well maintained. a selection of newspapers were available at the desk where the staff were pleasant and helpful. We tried the restaurant a couple of times the menu was was quite small but the food was good and the staff were exceedingly friendly and efficient (better side of a business hotel restaurant ) The breakfasts were the typical buffet type but quite good
The location of the hotel was excellent literally a few minutes to the metro and on a direct route to the Duomo 5-10 minutes. We took the opportunity of taking one of the bus tours available and visited the Lake Como and went on the ferry to Belaggio. It was a day trip so there wasn't a lot of time to visit but we enjoyed it for what it was. The trip along with others can be booked at the front desk and the staff are most helpful in offering advice etc.
Would we go again? without a doubt the location cannot be beaten and that becomes important at the end of a long day of travelling or sightseeing etc. We didn't try the bus to the airport which would have been a lot cheaper but hired a taxi for 90 Euro's, expensive but worth it to us all arranged by the hotel.

Room Tip: be nice to the people on the front desk!

We stayed here for one night after a long flight, and it was such a relief to find the hotel literally across the road from the train station.

The next day it was then a short metro ride from the train station to the duomo area.

I had been nervous about the rooms as some reviews said they are dated, but we thought they were great. Extremely comfortable. We had a flat screen TV which provided us with decent in room wifi so it may have been updated recently.

The service was perfect and efficient and there was even a turn down service.

Breakfast was amazing - a huge range of foods and very tasty.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
