This is a good hotel conveniently located very close to both the central train station in Milan and the terminus for the airport shuttle/bus linking Milan with Malpensa Airport. Additionally, there is a subway stop within easy walking distance (about 5 mins.). This means the hotel can readily serve as the "base camp" for touring Milan as well as visiting tourist sites outside Milan yet retaining easy access to the intercity rail service and airport. Though not the newest structure, it is a modern-looking, high-rise hotel with many rooms having excellent views over Milan. However, it seems more designed or intended for business people. The rooms are fairly large, nicely decorated and well-maintained. The bathrooms are also well appointed and well kept. The services proffered and rendered are typical for this category (4-star) of hotel. The front desk staff, while courteous, polite and proper, is not the "warmest" bunch I've encountered. The other big plus of this hotel is the full breakfast fare that is included in the room rate and which is awesome!!! Served buffet-style, they proffer a great selection of hot and cold items which are delicious. The combination of location and breakfast alone makes this hotel deserving of your consideration if you are looking at hotels of similar category, services and price in Milan. I highly recommend this hotel. My only real negative observation is that the selection of English-speaking channels is very limited on their satellite TV system which overall seems fairly extensive. Given that Milan is a major business hub in Italy and receives many international visitors from English-speaking countries, I would expect a major business hotel such as the Michelangelo to have more options for English-speaking viewers (besides a news channel or two and some other junk).

Michelangelo Hotel is steps away from Cental Station. I concur with reviews that it's a breeze to get from the airport to the Station. Price is only euro 6 or 7 per pax. comfortable ride. The hotel faces the station so no worries about finding it.

We had 2 rooms, a double with an extra bed and a twin room. While the double has enough room space to move around even with an extra bed, the twin room is huge. It's as good as a j suite room. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Snacks and drinks are free! Replenished daily. Everyone slept very well. Unfortunately my bed was like sleeping in a shallow trough. Some nites, when i was dead tired, I slept right thru the nite.

Breakfast spread was good! We simpled loved the pasta ...delicious....fruits very sweet. Coffee - take your pick: latte, cappuccino, espresso, american. My daughter enjoyed making fresh orange juice for everyone. The concierge was pretty helpful. They recommended a good family restaurant nearby.

Area around the hotel is safe. Bright lights around the station to the hotel. Didn't notice any sleaze around.

Unfortunately, a few days after we had checked-out, my good thots were marred when my husband received a message from the hotel that they had charged our credit card an extra amount coz of underpayment on the day of check-out which was no fault of ours. It was done without our knowledge and no details were given. When asked for a copy of the bill, we didn't receive any reply from the hotel

Location is right across from the Central Station. Rooms were good but slightly old fashioned. Breakfast was super. All in all - a very good choice.

I stay in this hotel most times when I come to Milan on business and I have to say it always does the business for me. Staff are efficient if not the friendliest - but that is just Milan. Rooms are a bit dated but are very clean and everything works perfectly. Great shower, good internet service, lively bar in the evening and handy for getting to most parts of milan via the metro right outside. I lived in Milan for 9 years and this area used to be quite bad but they have spent a lot of money on it ahead of the forthcoming EXPO and it's looking pretty good. The hotel is right in front of the train station and the buses from Malpensa and Bergamo airports stop right outside. This hotel is great for the budget traveller.

Next to Station Centrale, convenient for train or air travel. About a 40 minute walk to Duomo. Clean & comfortable, reasonable value. Ok bar & breakfast.
