My husband and I stayed at the "Cristoforo Colombo" hotel for a couple of nights. On arrival the lady at the check in/reception desk was not very warm or friendly. We travelled 26 hours straight from Australia and arrived at the hotel 1 hour earlier than our estimated arrival time. Because we specified roughly what time we would be arriving she said "Come back then". She didn't say the room wasn't ready/cleaned or anything like that, she just said, "You said you would arrive at 10am and it's only 9am, so come back then". Very cold and certainly not at all welcoming!!

Not a great start to our holiday or our stay at this hotel. We came back an hour later and we were able to check in.

Anyway, the hotel is really lovely, the rooms were very comfortable and clean and the buffet breakfast spread was impressive with great italian cappucino's on offer!!

The location was also great - we could walk to the Duomo in 10mins and it's also very close to all the best shopping in MIlan.

I would still suggest this hotel as a great place to stay but strongly advise that the staff have a more pleasant, warm, friendly approach when greeting their guests..... Customer service is EVERYTHING!!

The staff could be friendlier... the hotel itself was grand and the rooms great. We had an early check out so did not spend to much time in the rooms. But great location along the main city street with shopping in either direction and 45min walk to the Duemo!
Airport transfer will set you back 95Euro.

The hotel staff were very friendly and welcomed us very well. Lots of information provided from the front desk and in our room. The hotel was not right next to the central attractions but was a short walk away. The hotel was modern and clean and offered a spa and restaurant. Plenty of facilities in the room although there was an odd drain smell in the bathroom. Our stay at the hotel was enjoyable but the hotel is located above a metro line which we could hear while in our room on the second floor. After a while it wasn't as noticeable but you could hear every train that pulled in and pulled away from the stop we were next to and they ran from around 5am till around 11pm and it did wake me up.

Stayed for two nights in July. Hotel is in a good location, right by the metro and easy to get to the main sights of Milan.

Its well presented, especially the lobby area and the staff were friendly (they seemed to know who we were before we checked in!) and helpful at all times.

The breakfast was good, plenty of choice and efficient service. Didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, there are cheaper places nearby.

The Spa looked very expensive so again we didn't try it.

Our room was small and comments about neighbours plumbing are true although it didn't bother us much. The pillows are rock hard but we did sleep fairly well nonetheless.

For Milan the hotel is good value and I'd recommend it to other travellers. Probably worth paying extra for a larger room though.

Pleasant location - good 10 minute walk from the centre down a busy road but at least away from the madness of central Milan. Some very good restaurants behind the hotel.

Room nothing startling but pleasant enough. Very clean.

Breakfast good.

All staff very nice.

My family and I stayed for three nights last autumn. Our daughter was 9 months old, so of course we had special needs for her. Everything worked perfect, and the staff in the restaurant were all very nice to her (even when she had dropped the teabags on the floor for the 14th time:) )

The location is fine and easy to find from the metro.

All in all a very nice hotel. Recommended.

This Hotel is very well located on Corso Buenos Aires just next to the Metro and Passante stations. Rooms are not very big but space is well used and they have been nicely decorated. If you can book a superior, they are bigger! Breakfast and lounge are very good!
