“Fantastic Hotel”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in early June. Easy to get to from the train station by metro and tram (no need for taxis unless you have lots of heavy luggage). Very quiet, clean, extensive choice of food and drinks at breakfast, and just a short tram ride away from the centre of Milan. Best thing of all - the reception staff, who were so helpfull with directions, restaurant recommendations, and transport / ticket advice. Would love to return some day for a longer stay.

Everything is great except for location. It takes us about 35 minutes to the city center by tram and we can buy transportation tickets from the hotel staff. The tram stop is very close to the hotel so the location is acceptable for me. The best thing of this hotel is that the hotel staff recommended us two great restaurants which are totally exceeded our expectations, and both of them are very close to the hotel. We had real Italian great value food, which we didn't have in Rome, in these two restaurants. The service is good and room is clean and big enough. The breakfast is also good and many kinds food are served. We had great time in the superior bath tub every night during our stay in this hotel.

A friend & I stayed here for 6 nights whilst visiting Milan. The hotel is very nice, staff are helpful and friendly & breakfast had a good enough selection to keep nearly everyone happy. Hotel is a little way out of the main tourist areas but there is a very good tram system which runs every 10 minutes or so from outside the hotel. Would definitely recommend if you were in Milan for a couple of days, but if you only had 2 or so nights, would suggest you stay a little more central.

On another note, if you are intending to see the 'Last Supper' ensure that you book your tickets in ADVANCE - you will struggle to get them on the day!

Yes, as the previous reviews stated, this hotel's location is a bit far off the center, but the excellent service and easy transportation make it up.

The room we had is really clean with spacious bathroom (has a small jacuzzi-like bath tub!). From the outside the hotel might look old but the interior in fact seems nicely renovated. Bed was comfy, breakfast was sufficient (fruit, ham, cheese, bread, cereal, snack bars, eggs, espresso...) and the best was the restaurant suggestion they gave. We went to two places for dinners, both recommended by the hotel staff, and turn out to be way better than the tourist traps around city center! One place just right across the hotel has really authentic Italian pizza at really reasonable prices. We ended up going there twice during our three nights stay.

The tram is really easy to take, so do not worry about the seemingly faraway location!

I stayed in this hotel in June 2012. The hotel is clean and in quite location. The service is great. The location is a bit far from the Center but the tram is stopped directly out side the hotel. It may take around 25 minutes to the center. Breakfast is good. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights and overall we were happy with the hotel. The two main downsides are: 1. we had a room facing the main road and traffic noise almost never stops, but we did get used to that. 2. it is quite a grind getting into Milan from the hotel. The frequent tram No 14 stops right outside but it's at least 30min to Duomo and that was too long for us. A better option for us was getting off at Lanza and then taking the Metro to wherever we wanted to go in Milan. Aside from this, everything else was positive; nice room with fridge and kettle, bathroom fine and all in good condition, only slight internal noise, good breakfast, very helpful reception staff, decent restaurants and a Billa supermarket just round the corner. Neighbourhood looks a bit rough but we didn't feel uncomfortable at any time. We arrived in Milan from Malpensa at Cadorna station and took a taxi to the hotel which cost Euro10.

Room Tip: There are lots of rooms not facing the main road so I suggest you ask for one of these if you don...

This hotel is really good. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was very good.
The location of the hotel is not central yet it is very easy to reach the center when you take the tram, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to reach the Duomo. The tram stop is just in front of the hotel.
I would definitely stay there again. It's a good value hotel.
