“Value for Money, Well Situated, Great restaurant, Great Staff”
Reviewed 28 June 2010

I visited Milan or the First time in Nov 2009. Enterprise Hotel appeared to be a reasonable hotel for the price being offered with Free internet, breakfast included in the room rate and the size of the rooms. Milan city has many hotel around the Enterprise which have really cheap rooms with rooms no bigger than a bathroom. Considering the same, Enterprise Hotel appeared to have a decent size room. and also situated not too far away from the city center.

I booked on the email with them and the reservation was quick and easy. I arrived in the night fro Malpensa airport which is situated far away from the city. The check in was quick and in no time there was a bell boy waiting to escort me to my room with my luggage. The receptionist was courteous and explained the layout of the Hotel, Restaurant, Bar. She also explained how to use the free internet in the room.

The bed was king size which was made up well. The room was bright with ample of lights in palaces which required to be well illuminated such as a writing desk, wardrobe, passage, bedside, etc. They have huge windows in the rooms which are sound proof and once the windows open you realise that there is a little bit of sound outside. But untill the windows are closed, you wouldn't hear any of it. The bathroom his typical italian and shows off stylish italian fillings. There is also a pair of slipons in the bathroom which is very useful.

The bed is very comfortable and you have choice of different pillows to suit your sleeping habits. there is a 32inches TV which offers many different TV channels including all the RAI channels for free. There is a Movie on Demand option which you can use if you want to watch a specific movie.

The room has a detailed broucher of the facilities provided in the hotel and the places of interest along with the room service menu which has a wide range of dishes to suit your needs. The buffet breakfast is a wide spread from continental to English breakfast with a chef who will cook eggs for your as per your style. Also, there are different styles of tea and coffee and wines, cheese, milk, juices, for you to have. In short, you will have a problem of plenty to choose from. Each Friday, there are free cocktails provided at the Bar. This is something unique to Enterprise Hotel in that area.

The hotel is situated, barely 7 minutes away from the city center called the Dumo. The best part is that there is a tram station right outside the hotel which takes you there in just 1 Euro.

There are ample of restaurants on the same road called Riva Villsanta. Also there are a lot of other train and tram stations which can connect to you all parts of Milan.

In all, this is a Great Hotel, Great Value for Money and really helpful staff always ready to help you.

A must stay if you are visiting Milan.

Stayed here for 5 nights recently. Overall, the experience was similar to what had been described by other travelers on Tripadvisor. Just a word of caution - avoid the apartment rooms at all costs if you want a decent rest. It's already a hassle getting from to the apartment rooms which are situated at the back of the hotel, and you'd have to walk pass the banquet kitchen to the backyard. And you can forget about sleeping if there's a world cup game going on as the hotel employees would be turning up the volume watching the game. Also, although the location is away from the centre of Milan, there are plenty of nice restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. Just run a search on Tripadvisor to find out!

Introduction:
I booked for 4 nights in late-May 2010 at the Enterprise hotel after reading reviews about the hotel here @ Tripadvisor & the stay lived up to the high expectations.

Location:
Whilst outside the centre area, the 10min (max.) tram ride to & from was easy & comfortable to take. @ €1 each way (€3 for a daily ticket valid also on the subway & buses), this represented good money too.

Rooms:
Ours was on the 4th floor (2nd from top) & a double, with a large on-suite style bathroom. Well kept & pleasantly decorated, a turn-down service was included along with 2 free bottles of water (still) in addition to the minibar & tea/coffee amenities. Internet access (not wireless though) & pay-TV (pay-per-view strangely enough) were also appreciated in the mornings & evenings when planning the next day's activities. The only minus for us was the comfort of the bed, but that can be a subjective experience.

Service:
1st class - everyone was fluent in english (which helped a lot for my limited Italian) & very pleasant to talk to. The staff quickly helped out with what we asked for & were very interested in us enjoing our stay. The food was excellent - a large breakfast buffet with several different food groups to chose from (all well presented & included little details such as glutin-free foods).

Value:
I booked the internet package for the standard double room - this included a free dinner in the hotel restaurant - 6 months in advance (as a part of a Christmas present to my wife). The price (approx. 1000,-NOK per night) was a good deal for what we got & the experience we had.

So I hope this review was helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors to Milano. I know I'll be staying there agaion next time...

The hotel's poor location is made up with it's good breakfast and cheaper room rates. There was a nice selection of fruits, cereal, bread, pastries, ham, and cheese and the hot breakfast included made-to-order eggs and your basic spread of baked beans, grilled tomatoes, and sauteed mushrooms.

However, If you're going to Milan to shop, think twice before staying here, especially if you're short on time or not accustomed to carrying heavy bags. You probably won't want to stop by the hotel to drop off your merchandise as it's around a Euro15 and a 25 minutes cab ride from the Duomo. So, you may have to carry all your bags with you the whole day, which is a big downside. The tram ride was inconsistent, as with many things in Italy. I was stuck on the tram for about an hour (normally it takes about 30 minutes including wait time) to get to the Duomo because of some traffic congestion and/or breakdown. I never did find out what happened.

Our non-smoking room still had a smoky odor, so when you check in, make sure you're room is truly a non-smoking room.

Overall, my stay was pleasant. However, it ended horribly. I booked a Mercedes cab through the hotel for 85 Euros to go the airport. However, I had to pay the cab driver directly. The driver drove at about 140-150 kilometers/hour on a 90 kilometer/hour road, tailgated until the car ahead of us moved, and was basically quite reckless. After I asked him to slow down, he brought the speed down to about 120 km/hour, but continued to tailgate. At the end of the trip, he charged me 90 Euros for what was clearly stated as an 85 Euros cab ride. Normally, I would have tipped 5 Euros, so I gave him 90 Euros anyway, but I was quite upset that he ripped me off. So, I called and emailed the hotel to let them know the situation, but I haven't heard back. Obviously, the hotel could care less about their clients after they've check-out. Repeat business doesn't seem to matter, but I guess I'm not staying at a 5-star hotel, so the old adage holds, "You get what you pay for!"

We stayed in Milan for three nights at the Enterprise Hotel for part business, part leisure. The front desk staff was very helpful. We arrived during a downpour and had wheeled our carry-ons for about 4 blocks. We looked like drowned rats, but they treated us as well as if we were favorite guests. They got us to our room quickly. I had asked for "una camera tranquilla" which may or may not mean "quiet room" and they complied. The bed was comfortable, the bath elegant and room bigger than most in NYC. The decor was "comfortable/contemporary" both in the rooms and in the public areas. Breakfast came with the room and after smallish, cheese and salami spreads in previous inns, we were surprised to walk into their dining room and find every kind of fruit imaginable, whole and in salads. Yogurt, cold cereal, hot cereal, bacon, hash browns, battered veggies, juice of every kind, boiled eggs, cheese and salami, yes- but a selection of several varieties. There was an omelet chef and other steam table dishes. We left the dining room each morning not needing any lunch. The room was 143 Euros, which was very reasonable considering that Milan is a business city. The front desk gave us dinner recommendations each night which all turned out to be great! This hotel is away from the Duomo and the Galleria (we walked it, but most people wouldn't want to) in a well-to-do residential neighborhood which may account for the reasonable price. It is right on the tram/trolley line which has a stop directly outside the hotel door. This isn't the type of place to go to get the romantic, old world feel of Italy, but a very clean and reasonably priced hotel in a busy city.

Great hotel, super service at reception & restaurant. Asked for a Baby Crib and received one instantly. Room was perfect, hotel has a small Fitness Center that seemed adequate. Breakfast was one of the best that I’ve had in a hotel and it was included in the Room Rate. Booked on the hotel web site which offered the lowest rate I’ve found plus a 25 Euro credit. Streetcar stop was just outside of the hotel and there is the great Restaurant a two minute walk around the corner from the hotel that we thoroughly enjoyed.
