“Simply average hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2010

Italian hotels are not the best in the world, however, this is just a very average hotel. Interior design of the hotel is really cheap and just a big mix and match. I can't imagine an Italian designer has ever been into this building.

The location is far away from everything, except for the exhibition centre. Not easily reachable by public transport. A taxi ride from the centre is around EUR 20, in case you're considering it because of being cheap.

I ordered a burger in the bar at 9:45 pm and they brought the food "cold" at 10:30 pm with no cutlery and when I complained the answer was "ok you don't pay"!!! Great service, huh?

There was no senior manager in the hotel so finally the restaurant manager came to apologize and offered to bring the food again, which I suspect was the same one just over-heated this time. I got something to eat at last for free but definitely not an experience to repeat.

The internet is free but super slow so don't have very high hopes!

We booked a standard double room which itself was very nice room if a little small but has everything you need. the bathroom is modern and nice too.
The breakfast at sophia's restaurant was amazing, the best breakfast we have had in italy. it serves a wide range of hot (bacon, sausage, tomatoes, freshly cooked eggs, pancakes etc) and cold foods (meats, cheee, yoghurt, fruit, cakes, etc).

The hotel itself is a little out of the centre of Milan just on the outskirts of the park, but a tram (buying pre-paid tickets from the underground or kiosk) can easily be caught right outside the hotel ~every 10mins (takes ~10 mins to get into the centre). the trams go directly into the centre of milan and next to the cordona train station. the advantage to the hotel is it is nearest to the cordona station and this station directly links the express train to malpensa airport.

overall a lovely hotel, could do with a little more space but the breakfast makes up for it!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Enterprise Hotel. The location of the hotel is ok. About 20min by tram to reach the Duomo. The tram stop is almost right outside the hotel.

Check in was quite slow, no idea what the problem was but it took a good 20min. The room was probably the biggest dissapointment about this hotel. We paid for a superior room but there was nothing special about it at all. Quite worn and the wall paper was peeling in parts. The pillows were the most uncomfortable i have ever slept on in any hotel. I had to ask for it to be changed- which they did promptly. The room was clean and housekeeping seemed pretty good.

I don't have much to add that's different to all the other reviews on here, basically it's a nice enough hotel. The breakfast was excellent.
However we found the staff to be just ok. They didn't make us feel particularly welcome. The hotel lobby was quite dark. They served dinner and lunch in the garden area- Sophia's restaurant was not open. On the third night they had a wedding at the hotel and the whole restaurant/outside area was reserved for that leaving nowhere for hotel guests to go.

In summary- clean hotel, good breakfast but very average rooms for the price. Would i stay here again? No

Everything about the hotel is perfection. 4 stars is indisputable. Great restaurant (Sophie's). Nice stocked bar in lobby and mini bar/fridge in room. Best breakfast in Italy or possibly in all of Europe. Safe in room. Easy to get to city center with the tram, away from the crowds. Picture perfect cleanliness. Multiple top 15 tripadvisor restaurants within walking distance (unfortunately due to holidays, they were closed but we knew that going in) as is Domodossola train station. Staff was superb night and day as they helped find out things for us and answered questions in English without any rudeness at all. Perfectly polite when helping us out. They even attempted to call clubs for us to see if they were opened (we had no cell phone service so this was so helpful) and turned out they weren't so it saved us a cab ride for no reason. Normally Hollywood, Alcatraz and Shocking club when opened are less than two miles away per the directions I had and they are all well-established and highly regarded clubs. They called for a cab so we could go to Centrale station for our train ride to Venice and the cab was in front of the building within 2 minutes and costed just 10 euro or so. Complimentary slippers were provided too. The cleaning staff was superb every day. Beds had perfect comfort, bathrooms clean and nice, high end no doubt. Air conditioning worked beautifully. Modern, sleek and roomy. Tons of good TV channels with your choice of language if interested in some relaxing TV time. Windows could be opened during the day. At night the trams go by but the soundproof windows drown out the noise easily when closed. We loved it and would stay there again. Would be a bigger blast when the walkable top dog restaurants/caffe's are open but Sophie's holds it own. In fact they had the best Veal Milanese and Risotto I had ever tasted. Any bad reviews are utter nonsense and should be ignored. Wi-Fi is free if you have a laptop. There's a charge for there internet service (if no laptop) but that is normal in Milan anyway.

I have previously written a review about this fantastic hotel, and my only grumble was the lack of English TV channels. This has now been rectified, with the introduction of SKY TV to each room. Yes, it IS Italian SKY - and most programs are in Italian - but you now have Sky News, BBC News, CNN, Fox News, and can find the odd subtitled programme on Discovery/Nat Geo etc. I realise that you don't go away to beautiful Milan to watch the TV, but when you consider that this was my ONLY complaint about this terrific place..... this just means that it is now PERFECT!!!
We have just returned from our second visit to The Enterprise, and I am pleased to announce that it has not slipped in my opinion. Will return again next year, if we can.
GET A GOOD MAP of Trams/Buses... and set aside plenty of time to enjoy breakfast!

We started our visit to Italy with Milan and a stay at the Enterprise. The hotel rooms while a bit small had everything that we needed and had an Ikea feel to them. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The location is ok--needed to take a taxi to the sites that we were interested in which was fine. The staff spoke English well and we had no problems.

The highlight was the included breakfast. By far the best included breakfast that I have ever had at any hotel. Great selection of quality hot dishes, fruits, yogurts, cheeses, salmon, vegitarian options. We were depressed for the rest our trip by how good the Enterprise breakfast was--no other hotel cam close.

Hotel is very conveniently located to get to centre quickly by car, or fiera on foot. You won't be doing any shopping in the immediate area, but trams into centre stop right in front of the hotel if necessary, and it's a short hop down (or 15 min walk) to Parco Sempione which has some nice restaurants and bars around it.
The hotel itself has a decent bar with indoor and outdoor sections, and a well-respected restaurant.
Parking €18 per 24h is secure, well-lit, worry-free.
Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, Wi-Fi is free for guests all over the place.
Bed was very comfortable and room sound insulation is decent so got two great night's sleep - the inroom aircon is efficient and quiet, a must in muggy humid July heat.
Shower is very good, so mornings were fine too.
A little shopping around should get you a great rate on a decent-sized room, definitely one of the best value hotels I have EVER stayed in. Thumbs up!
