“Great value, great location”
Reviewed 23 December 2012 via mobile

We spent only 2 nights here but were very satisfied, it's basic but comfortable in a good location in central Milan

Pros: Nice free breakfast with plenty of tables available
Walking distance to the Duomo, Last Supper, Navigli, Cadorna station (for Malpensa airport express train)
Lots of shops and restaurants nearby - make sure you eat at Le Scimmette in Via San Vito about 2 minutes walk
Fantastic shower ! it may be small but it's great !
Bidet in bathroom
Friendly and helpful staff, most of which speak good English and laughed at my attempts in Italian (in good natured fun)
Excellent value for Milano only €85.50 per night including breakfast for 2

Cons: Noisy neighbors and trams outside in the morning (2nd floor room)
Cigarette smoke smell comes into bathroom vent
Noisy air conditioner in room 202
Initially gave us a king bed room when we had booked twin (resolved quickly but meant a 2nd floor room instead of the nice room on 8th floor)
No English TV channels at all
No instructions on how to use the electric blind, we discovered it by accident near the light switch

Stayed December 2012, travelled with family

I have to say I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel in September 2012. The location of the Hotel is great - only a 10 min walk to the Duomo. The rooms were nice and modern, and we had a walk-in wardrobe! The breakfast was nice and the staff were super helpful! There was a lovely restraunt next door which did the best Apertivo in Milan! And the trams stop was on our doorstep in case we needed to go further. The streets behind the hotel are gorgeous too.
The only bad thing that happened while we were at this hotel, was when we arrived they gave us the key to a dirty room, and we had to wait for the cleaners to clean it before we could go in - this was about an hour wait, and we came about 15:00 to check in. In the mean time they gave us free drinks in the bar to make up for it.
I think this hotel is great for the price though!

Room Tip: There is a Milan Tourist Tax!

The hotel is really central. Really. Just a 10 minutes walk from Duomo and the Metro.

The staff is OK, and the breakfast is OK too. The price was a little bit high but you pay for the excellent location I guess. The services are basic and the room is small but efficient. Clean but not shiny.

It's a really good choice if you visit Milan for business but if you visit for leisure and need richer services you can find better hotels around (but more expensive though).

For a one night stay in milan, we had chosen this hotel because of its location, which is very central. The room was basic and small but good. Breakfast was good and for Italy even very good. Staff is helpful and service is good. As many hotels in milan, it seemed overpriced but compared with other places still ok. For a longer stay I would try to find something around porta ticinese, because of the more relaxed area and some great and cheap restaurants overthere...

This hotel was just horrible.
Horrible staff (besides one nice gentleman at the front) we arrived and had our room on the 8th floor. The elevator doors wouldn't open up on the 8th floor so we needed to go down and take a different lift. This only happened the once. There was an air conditioner in the room which we paid for but would only blow out heat. The first of four nights were sleepless. If you open the windows to let cold air in (as it is sweltering at night) you get a thousand mosquito bites and can't fall asleep because of the street noise and the very loud tram turning circle out the front. The staff said that the government controls the thermostat for the hotels and they cannot turn on the cold air. We found this to be true but this event happens two months AFTER we check out. They 100% lied to us. I told them my family member has a medical condition which requires aircon and magically the 'government' let them turn on the cold air. This place is a joke. Do not stay here.
