Quite a walk from the train station, around 15 minutes dragging suitcase. This hotel was ok.... The rooms were quite small, however they were clean. Other rooms were very close, and the self closing doors very noisy. Desk staff spoke little English. A good selection at breakfast.

This hotel was recommended in the Rough Guide so when there was just one room available for our dates, at short notice. I snapped it up - and we were glad we did. Yes, it lacks a bit of character but the upside of that is that the facilities and furnishings are very modern, and spotless. And yes, it's on a main road and is a bit noisy from the trams - but the obvious upside of that is that the trams are very close. However, the best thing is the position, and it isn't necessary to use public transport at all for the main sights. The rooms are a bit small, but the price is very reasonable for a city-centre hotel. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast buffet is varied and served in a very pleasant room, though our only slight quibble is that the coffee, orange juice and croissants are are usually better in Italian restaurants (but again, it's reasonably priced). The hotel doesn't do evening meals, but there is a superb restaurant next door that does - we went there for each of our five evenings! There is also, unusually for a city-centre 3-star hotel in our experience, a very pleasant bar. There is a charge for wifi but at least one nearby café has free wifi.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front will be noisy (ours was at the side) but the windows keep much of it out - I woul...

My husband and I stayed here for one night in September 2013. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Duomo so a good location - there are also nearby bars and restaurants for the evening. Our room was average - clean but very small - we had two large suitcases and we couldn't open them without them being on the bed. The staff were ok but spent a long time trying to get us to pay out €110 for a chauffer to Bergamo airport the next day, when we had already paid €10 for a shuttle bus. They were however helpful ordering us taxis and advising where we needed to go. One other strange event was that the lights in our room turned on in the middle of the night and woke us up and the next morning when we wanted the lights on they kept turning off on us. When we mentioned this to the staff on check out they just said maybe we hadn't put the key in properly! Not quite the reaction we were looking for. All in all an average hotel but In a good location to explore the city.

I choose an average rating for this hotel mainly for 2 reasons.

First, when we arrive by car to the hote, we needed a parking spot for our car. They only have 6 places available for their clients. At first, the person at the reception told us, that they did not have any place available for us that night. Then, he changed is mind and told us that we needed to go to the tabaco shop to buy a permit for parking and that we woold need to register to the police station to have the permission to park at their hotel !?!
So my housband went to the tabaco shop to be told that they didn't have any. He send him to the pharmacy next door and they didn't have any also. My housband walked aroud for a good 20 minutes to try to find an other tabaco shop or pharmacy, but their was no other store around where they sold those parking tickets. I was starting to be scare because he didn't know his way around Milano, since it was our first time. At his return, the guy at the front desk decided that he had those tickets in the reception desk, he would sell us one and organise everything with the police ???? What a waist of time ??
I'm sorry but if you have those tickets with you, why would you ask a client to go around town and try to find one and since we don't speak italian, it's very hard to go around and ask for something.

Anyway, everything was organised and we got to are room. It's nice and modern. A bit on the small side. The breakfast is basic, but fine. The location is great since you are about 10 minutes walk to the duomo and attractions. There is many restaurants and bar near by. So if you go back to your hotel to get some rest befor dinner, you don,t have to walk back downtown.

Our second problem was the bathtub. It was leaking on the stratified wood floor. The floor was already stained by the water. So either you took a shower or a bath, there was always watter on the floor. We had to use our towels to wipe every thing each time. We kept 2 towels for our famaly of 3 people and share them !! Just to let you know that, when I'm on vacation, I'm not suppose to do the cleaning in my room. I'm on vacation !

But I'm hoping that they don't have this problem in every rooms and I'm pretty certain that they don't. We only stayed their one night, so we didn't ask to change to another room. We rather past time by visiting this nice city. But, if you don't have any problems, it's a really nice hotel to stay at and the staff is really nice.

Room Tip: Try to find a room with no problem. The hotel was full when we were their, so if we would have stay...

This hotel was on an arterial road which lead straight to the Duomo. A great area for shopping and restaurants and walking to the main attractions. The Hotel was very clean, the rooms a good size with a television and WIFI for a fee. The bathroom was a little tiny, but really well supplied with shampoos etc
The breakfast was plain, but nice enough and I would recommend it.

Before the rest of my review, I want to say that the hotel staff was wonderful. We had to leave at 5:45 AM the next morning for Malpensa Airport and, since breakfast wasn't open yet, we asked if there was anything we could grab quick to eat. The concierge gave us a delicious chocolate chip croissant with a nutella filling, water bottles, and little glass bottles of OJ. Onto the rest...this hotel was very close to the Duomo and a good location for other Milano sights, but it was very average. Based on the other reviews, I think we were unlucky with room 201. Our AC was broken and dripped water down the wall. The wall was pink with a line of mold and when we woke up in the morning, the floor was soaked (which explained the towel placed there by maid service). The AC was noisy and kept me awake and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.
