The hotel is near Piazza Duomo and has a metro station just outside. The rooms are big and clean, the bathroom excellent. Breakfast is quite good. The price is a little bit expensive. A very good choise in Milan.

After reading so many positive reviews of this place, I can only assume that a lot of Tripadvisors reviewers are tremendously nice people or very easily impressed.
The stay in this hotel went to hell at check in, first off they got me confused with another person with the same uncommon name as me who was 25 yrs older.
The lady at reception then managed to give me a card key, and up we went in the old fashioned, claustrophobic elevator. Got to the room, pushed the door open for the wife and there's a guy hanging from the curtain shouting.
Off we go back downstairs and I make my unhappiness known to the reception staff - no real apology just a new room key and off we went again.
Got into the room and it was quite a warm day so I went to turn the air con down (as you may have noticed this place is meant to have it)... air cons broken. I called up reception to ask what could be done and was informed that the hotel does have air con, but its on one setting throughout the building!!! Since it was March and still officially winter (even though it was 20 deg C outside) the heating was on and nothing could be done.
We resolved to bake, however I did open the window, whereupon I noticed the curtain was broken.
Great shower however.
On to breakfast after a hot and uncomfortable night. It's a very basic buffet breakfast with happy shopper champagne. Some stale cold cuts of meat and cheese, yoghurts and cerials. Supplemented by some bland scrambled eggs and some very fatty cheap bacon. The croissants weren't too bad if you could find a non stale one. Better off going out for breakfast!
Location - pretty close to the Duomo which was the one saving grace, also very close to 4 lapdancing joints... if you like that sort of thing. Not my cup of tea.
When we were checking out, we also saw the hotel reception manager abuse a Chinese guest who was trying to get a taxi, he shouted at her and then went outside and cancelled the cab she had managed to hail down. Very very rude and I told him so, only to be dismissed with a stream of Italian - the poor woman was close to tears.
All in all this hotel rates itself very highly, fair play all the staff are very smart and well presented, its just a shame some of them are rude and the hotel is nearly as antiquated as parts of the breakfast.

I loved this hotel due to its proximity in the centre of the city & to the fact that it offered a beautiful breakfast. The rooms were very spacey and the staff really friendly.

This was a great hotel for location and the room we had was large and modern. You may see some different takes on it though because the higher floors are re-furbished and the lower ones look very olde worlde (read musty). The breakfast was good and so was the service. So nice to get the good room for a change! We will stay there again in July and hope our good luck holds.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor.

The hotel is located in a quite corner, very close to the Metro station and only 5 min walk to Duomo. The room is quite small, but clean and comfortable. The hotel provided 1-hour free internet on top of quite a substantial charge for internet usage. For Milan, this hotel is a compromise of location, quality and price.

I did not put excellent for this hotel, just to leave room for perfection :)
Otherwise very good hotel in the city centre, perfect place and walking distance (5 minutes) from Duomo and about 15 minutes from MonteNapaleoni.
Check in smooth, no problems what so ever.
We arrived earlier and our room was already ready!
Decent size rooms, bathroom slightly worn, but very tidy. Very clean everywhere. Our windows were inside the hotel - no amazing views, but very quite and good sleep quality. Bed nice and comfy.
TV has couple free english speaking and even russian programmes.
Internet was free, decent speed, but... we had not read instructions properly - it is 24 hours from first log in!!! We logged in for 1 hour and gone to bed and next morning it was no free internet!!! Another thing let the rooms down - no coffee/tea making facilities - we like late tea in the bed or earlier coffee on the mornings and we found this quite big disadvantage. Room has in room safe - which was very handy.
Breakfast very good and staff very good there !!! - good choice and variety of foods and pastries you could die for!!!!. Coffee really amazing!!!.
We had no particular problem during our 3 night stay and even were offered an umbrella one very rainy day.
It is very good value for money in superb location - quiet location with shops and bars just round the corner.
When we will come back to Milan we probably will stay there again.
