“A bit of an oasis in the desert that is Milan in August.”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

Dined here on the last of 3 nights in Milan and it was probably the best of the three. Obviously family run and with a regular clientele. We both had the prawns followed by bistecca in different forms and it was all very good. Just one dessert for my husband followed by espresso and a complimentary limoncello. WEe would definitely use this restaurant again.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 15 March 2013

My husband and I eat regularly at this restaurant the food is excellent!!!
and the portions big. Suggest what the ""il chef Consiglio" The service is efficent , it's better to make reservation- and forget friday or Saturday evenings. On Sundays there are specials at lunch.
The price is very reasonable. It's a family run restaurant. If you like good food it's one of the best places in Milan. The only problem is space. It's usually very packed, and there's a good reason.

“Family atmosphere, traditional Tuscan dishes, with a sophisticated touch”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Food is simple, my fabourite are pasta "cacio e pepe", but it features also more delicate tuscan specialties like the poor man's "pappa al pomodoro", a warm dish traditionally made with old bread and fresh tomato, ofcourse revisited and dleicately reflavoured.
If one is in the mood they serve excellent "Fritti misti", mixed fried dishes with all possible fried vegetables and / or fried mozzarella and meat.
Of course the classic Fiorentina steak and white beans is always available. Reasonably priced in a nice atmosphere with tables in white and full table settings is a mixture of family atmosphere and the nice feeling of being in a "real restaurant. The house wine is excellent and doesnìt make it worth spending extra money for brand chianti.
