“Good location, overall OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 January 2013

We stayed here for 3 nights in december for a weekend away for my boyfriends 21st birthday, hotel was in a good location across the road from central station and metro stops, room was old fashioned and very dark, looked out onto a multistorey carpark at the back of the hotel but we were only in at night and it was clean. Tip though, try and avoid the room we had 215, was across the hall from the breakfast room so at 7am you were woken. We went for breakfast the first morning but was just croissants and cold meats so didn't bother after that. Reception staff were really helpful and gave us a map and great advice on how to navigate the metro. All in all it was an okay hotel if you just want it as a base.

Room Tip: Avoid room 215, looking into a dark multistorey car park and across the hall from breakfast room, wo...

I stayed here with a couple of mates for a weekend to see AC Milan vs Juventus. This hotel was good in terms it had everything we needed and was in a good location. The breakfast was ok; certainly filled us up until lunch time.

The location is good because it is right next to the main station/metro so it is easy to move through the city - we even walked back from the centre one night so it is not too far out. Outside the station it was quite noisy and busy all night so it was a little noisy but not to the point where we could not sleep.

We stayed in a triple room and was fine for what we wanted it for.

Th staff were very helpful and had the information to the questions we asked them.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel were quite noisy at night, might be quiter at the back.

Good location opposite Milan Centrale train station easy to find small room clean, breakfast was ok except to find chipped plates, cups, good coffee made fresh by bartender, scrambled eggs, bacon, nice ham, hotel charge for wifi €1.00 for 15 mins, €1.50 for 30mins,wifi is extremely snail slow city charge is extra p/p/day €3.00
Close by eating places, lots of pizzas shops, sushi places, 1st night had good and cheap Italian place run by Chinese left side hotel walk 2 mins called Tavolino, there is a Mac nearby small hamburger €1.00, buy the 24h subway pass €4.50 worth it
Expect Milan a big city but nothing much in awe except for the Duomo etc, we came for Leonardo last supper which was the main highlight, enjoy Milan we did

i spent around 5 days in this hotel - actually it is a moderate hotel not a luxury one , but it is really very clean and tidy - very nice breakfast - fresh backed bread - with fresh eggs.
the location of the hotel is excellent - in front of railway station - just 2 minutes to cross the square , near to the sub way - fast food restaurants nearby . just 5 minutes walking until you rich the famous street " CORSO BUENOS AYRES " the center of Milan - also 5 minutes walking until you rich the weekly market ( IL MERCATO " which take place every friday - were you can find very cheap staff .

Room Tip: rooms in front of "Pirelli buidlding and in front of railway station - via Pirelli.

Having not been to Milan before, arriving at night into Malpensa I wanted an overnight stay convenient for airport links and following day rail service to Bologna (Malpensa bus and rail services link with Milan Central station), this was easily noticeable and to find just a few metres from the station. Unfortunately at night, whilst not too threatening Milan station area after midnight is not the best area visit nearby bars, cafes but within a short 2 minute walk decent
venues found but expensive

The hotel was adequate, but welcoming reception (small) and the single room booked was small, with fairly old decor but had a small baclony (however facing a dreary back courtyward overlooking other buildings). The breakfast, included, was very basic and to be honest would not have taken if wasn't included, with canteen like tables and self service buffet with limited, but adequate supplies

All in all, for a one night, very inexpensive hotel stay for central Milan it was fine but I seriously couldn't consider it for a longer stay unless my room allocated was not typical!

I have had a 3-night stay from 24 to 27 October 2012.

Good points:
1. The location is excellent! Less than 5 minutes walk to Central Station - both Train and Metro.
2. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, and they speak English!

Bad points:
1. The building is not well maintained.
2. The room is small and not well cleaned, and not well ventilated unless the shuttles are pull up.
3. The bathroom is not well cleaned, and it does not have a shower curtain (so the floor was well wet after every shower)!
4. The breakfast is modest and lack of varieties.
5. The breakfast service staff were not friendly - there were no eye contacts at all! It gives me a feeling that they are a 3rd party contractor!

Overall:
Other than its locality and the front desk staff, I did not discover any other attractiveness. Not value for money. I will only go back if there are no other available hotels.

The hotel is located 3-minute walk from Milan's Central Station. It very easy to find, just in front of the Pirelli skyscraper that is the first thing you see as soon as you leave the station, on the right, and few meters from the underground station.
The rooms, and related bathroom, have a basic style but they are quite spacious. To be honest, they are not as dirty as I read in previous feedbacks. The mirror wardrobe is very comfortable and there is a large flat LCD television. The only negative point is that it is a bit noisy: thin walls between a bedroom and the other, traffic on the street and, at the reception, you can clearly hear the subway.
An international breakfast buffet is served on the second floor and includes: eggs, cold cuts, pastries, juices, cereals, coffee, milk.
The staff is very friendly and multilingual.
For a three-stars-hotel and the location, value for money is pretty good (double room by Expedia 86 €, breakfast included) . Nearby, easily accessible, there are an Italian restaurant/pizzeria at a reasonable price (named "Fashion 2": pizza + water + coffee: 11€) and a Mc Donalds. Scala Theatre, via Montenapoleone and Duomo are easy to reach, approximately 3 km within walking distance...or 3 minutes by underground.
Good for a short, pleasant stay. Recommended.
