After a sleepless overnight "sleeper" train ride to Milan, I stumbled out of the train station and went to the first hotel I could find for some much needed sleep. By blind luck I walked into the Mini Hotel Aosta and was given a small but clean room.
The room had two small twin beds and a small window overlooking the plaza in front of the Milan train station. The furnishings were dated by clean.
The bathroom had a very small but clean shower along with a commode and sink. The towels were clean. The hotel also offered internet access for a nominal fee.
Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent. It was served as a continental breakfast on the top floor. The view was very nice and the lady helping folks with their breakfast was very nice. The continental breakfast was fairly basic, but quite good. (I.e. what they did, they did well.)
This is not the place for a luxury vacation or for a family. However, if you need to rest your head near the train station for an evening or two, this will do just fine.More
