“Great Funky Hotel in a Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Hotel Star is not the most luxurious hotel in Milan, although it is quite nice. However, it may be the most interesting, with art based decor and super modern amenities. Breakfast is excellent. Duomo, La Scala, great shopping, and museums are all close by. The staff is very helpful and polite. The price is more than reasonable. All rooms have high end electronic features, and remote control thermostat for the excellent air conditioning system.
Do your self a favor, and stay at Hotel Star.

I found this hotel by chance and it was an expected pleasure. The rooms are clean and comfortable (jacuzzi and powershowers) The staff friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in walking distance to the Duomo and shopping area. In addition the staff even took note of my dietary needs giving me my gluten free breakfast. There is a bar (but no restaurant) although room service for basic pizzas are available. You are in the next street to several great restaurants in any case. I stayed in room 32 (colour therapy theme) and room 30 on another stay. All in all would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well priced clean hotel.

We stayed here for three nights and had a really great time. The front desk staff are friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. A bonus for us was that they spoke English too. The rooms are a reasonable size and the decor is simply amazing! The room price includes breakfast and there was a really good choice to suit various cultural expectations. The food as constant,y restocked so always fresh. This hotel is positioned right in the old centre and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go - Duomo, shopping, "The Last Supper", La Scala etc. The hotel has a very safe and friendly feel about it and we highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We had a room facing onto the street and it was OK except for Saturday night when there was quite a...

Location is indeed one of the factor that influences the hotel's prices, and I am fine with that. However, spending almost 200 Euro per one night in an old, tired and obsolete 3 stars hotel is a complete scam! No chance to adjust room's temperature, and to avoid an un-requested sauna we had to open the window. Breakfast is still one of the pain point while staying in Italy, and this hotel confirms the tradition with poor food and little selection. The only good point is represented by one of the most professional and kind receptionist I have ever found, however that is not enough to justify the high price.

Room was very comfortable and quiet with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was good with good quality food. Staff were very helpful and provided good recommendations as to what to do and where to eat. Hotel is very centrally located and just around the corner from the Duomo and La Scala. The Brera and Ambrosiana galleries are also close by as is the Cadorna railway station with a high speed connection to the airport via the Malpensa express. We would definitely go back.

We spent two days there on a 70th birthday to se the opera at La Scala. The hotel is very central, quiet and comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly. We would certainly go again next time we go to Milan
