We have never been to Milan so I wasn't sure about the location the Lancaster. It turned out to be a great area. It is a long walk to the Duomo and the famous shopping areas but transportation is easy and plentiful (street cars, subway, buses and taxis) There is an amazing 700 year old castle nearby. There are several good restaurants and bars in this part of town. We saw two restaurants with huge all you can eat buffets for 10 euro. Lots of outside dining too. The hotel staff was great. They were very friendly and welcoming. The room was quite comfortable and clean.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms are quite nice.

The team were terrific. Allowed me to check in early and gave good advice about finding the laundromat and directions into the centre (30 min walk through park). Quiet location. Tiny shower and half size toilet. Sure the lift is slow but take the stairs! Delicious breakfast.

The reason I found this place was the location: close to the conference center( 15 min causal walk through pleasant neighborhoods or take a tram), 3 min walk to the arch. They also have tram no1 and 27 nearby, which go to duomo and other cites.
The room is small but cozy. The sound proof is so so. The room we had a wall next to a bathroom and everything was heard crystal clear. But the street was quiet and luckily the guests there too. We spent several days there and did not find trouble sleeping.
The staffs were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the coffee as well. We found it very comfortable to live there and would recommend it.

Like Milan itself the hotel has class. What made our stay so memorable was the outstanding service we received from the reception staff - recommendations, advice where to go, being able to leave our luggage as long as we wished after we had booked out etc. In addition, the room was very well equipped. The breakfast was of an excellent quality.
The hotel was very well situated - a short walk through the pleasant Sempione Park which is a good place to relax, exercise, picnic etc to the Sforza castle with its museum and facilities.
It had been recommended and exceeded our hopes.

Room Tip: Perhaps ask for a balcony

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area very near parco Sempione and more precisely a stone's throw away from the Arco della Pace. Tram #1 stops at Arco della Pace which is five times closer than walking to or from the Cadorna station. The tram #1 stop is a few minutes walk from the hotel and it takes you to Cadorna station, which is a hub for Metro lines or the train to Malpensa airport, or one can continue on the tram to the Duomo or La Scala Teatro. All staff spoke English and we're very helpful in providing info. Our room was off street, no balcony, very quiet. The hotel is impeccably clean. The common guest area gives one a sense of Roman flavor with tiled mosaic floors, marble-like columns and bright colors on the walls with plenty of mahogany trimmings. Rooms are also tastefully decorated. To travellers not insisting on being in the heart of the city this is a very viable option both cost and location wise. The breakfast provided a good choice of food to a great start to your day. Our experience was more than satisfactory in every aspect of a hotel stay and we add our unequivocal recommendation.

We just love this hotel. We stayed one night, mostly to have a place to stay the night before we caught a plane back to the States. We got so much more! The hotel is perfectly located, just north of Milan's main park area,. It is a very pleasant walk from the hotel, through the park, to Milan's main tourist attractions. At night, the hotel is close to a bunch of wonderful restaurant/ bars where you can have a great, inexpensive dinner along with a drink. This part of town is not at all touristy, and you feel like one of the natives.

The breakfast is really, really good with lots of delicious choices. The rooms are a good size, attractive and comfortable.

The staff is amazing. Their English is really good, and we received full concierge service. The desk clerk laid out a full sightseeing plan for our day in Milan, and also planned everything we needed to get to the airport the next day.

We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The price was extremely competitive with what we paid elsewhere for a lot less!
