The hotel is out of the centre of Milan but has very good transport links. We used the tram and took 15 mins. You can also walk through the park to the centre. Room was clean and traditional, staff helpful when telling you how to get around Milan.

Spent two nights in July here. Here are the goods and the bads.

This hotel is in a decent location. 25 minute walk to the Duomo. You walk through Siempre Park and if you want the Sforsky Castle to get there. Not much west or north though. Quiet street. Grocery store 2 blocks away.

The rooms are clean and a decent size. Bigger bathroom than I expected. Room safe is a good size, and the doors with a Juliet balcony are nice.

The front staff is very friendly. They give you a run down of the must go to places with a map right away. The bar looked nice, but I didn't use it.

The beds were firm, but I slept like a rock, so I won't mark that as bad. Mini fridge in our room. Flat screen tv. Didn't use it. But nice that's it's there.

The bad. Wifi is not free. 4.50 euros a day. Breakfast starts at 7. Not really a bad thing, but one morning I was ready to go earlier. And I wish the AC would go colder. Even on all day when we returned it was not very cold, but comfortable. Finally, the bathroom was on the street wall, so our room had a weak view. No view from the bed.

Hotel #4 in our 14 day tour. Stayed here only one night as we stopped in Milan for a concert. The hotel was probably the most luxious of our stay - room was large with a great bathroom and comfortable bed. Stairs were steep and lift was small but this is typical. Breakfast was the usual fair of meats, cheese, coffee, juice, crossants etc - plentiful and served in the breakfast room. Front desk staff were extremely helpful in directions to the undergound metro etc. Our stay here was short but sweet but we highly recommend the hotel.

The place was very reasonably priced and a close walk to the Metro. What's great is its old world charm and spacious rooms. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, even if you're looking for places to go sightseeing without a booked tour. The breakfast was simple but nice, and they make good capuccinos! I'd recommend this as it was quite a pleasant stay for my family!

The hotel had the perfect amount of charm and was in a great location for my tastes. I didn't want a place near the Duomo. The area near the Lancaster is great with delicious places to eat and Chinatown just blocks away with great shopping as well. The concierge was so friendly and the rest of the staff was as well. The rooms were clean and we had a balcony on the 5th floor. Breakfast was great and had a variety of foods to choose from. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Milan.

Room Tip: Room 525 has a balcony!

I found the hotel experience great! Especially for a boutique hotel, which I'm usually hesitant to stay at, the service and hotel turned out to be great--walking distance to major places, and the room was comfortable and clean :)
I gave a 4-star for the location because it is not in the central part of Milan, but you're 20-minutes walk to downtown (where the stores and Cathedral are)--so overall it really is not far

A nice quiet room (although the decor is a bit dowdy) with good beds, excellent bathroom and flat-screen TV. Friendly and helpful reception staff - they offered me an umbrella when it rained, and I was able to purchase an extension (i.e. a late checkout).
Good room-service breakfast (actually I could have had breakfast downstairs, but didn't realise there were both options!).
The location is about 15 mins walk from any Metro station, but it's only a short walk to the no. 61 bus stop on Via Mario Pagano (corner of Viale Giovanni Milton) which goes into the centre, passing various Metro stops. It's close to the Sempione Park, but not particularly convenient for the Centrale FS station (except by taxi).
All in all, though, it was good value - I couldn't fault the hotel itself.
