“Absolute Gem in Navigli District”
Reviewed 1 September 2013

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of our holiday in Italy. The Hotel was lovely, the staff friendly and helpful and a bonus to have covered and secure parking. The rooms were spacious, the bed comfortable and the bathroom a good size and the shower again was excellent. We were able to walk into Milan centre quite easily but there was also a good tram and metro service nearby. A taxi from the Hotel to the Duomo cost us around 7 euros. The hotel is set on a side street just by the Canal and this area comes alive at night with all the bars and restaurants, quite a few having happy hours which mean they charge you for a drink and this entitles you to basically an eat all you can eat buffet. The hotel itself provides a complimentary arrival drink and also a small buffet which is a really nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with a really good choice. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

First of all the name Art Hotel doesn't make any sense. There is no art. The neighbourhood is nice. But then the rooms. You cannot control the airconditioning because they control it centrally. I am hot and I cannot do anything about it. Wifi is not great, bad connection it comes and it goes. But then the last thing... The have smoke detectors which is great. But it has blinking red lights. So, if its dark and it hangs above your bed your screwed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Wifes birthday weekend. Really great hotel in the middle of the best area of Milan. Large rooms, clean, bright and with air con. Staff friendly and always helpful. Came back after a day in the city and there was champagne in our room to celebrate my wifes birthday, a very nice touch. Multi choice breakfast included. Will be returning soon.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are in sun all day , its wonderful.

Spent just one night here, went for a jr suite - it was huge. Had a lovely private balcony, big bathroom, a second room apart from the bedroom. Breakfast was fantastic, you also got a compmentary welcome drink. Stayed here on a Saturday night, the whole area around the hotel is full of bars and restaurants, if you wanted to go out partying this would be perfect base. No problems with noise even though there was a lot of nightlife in the area.

Stayed for 3 nights in a very good twin room with plenty of space, which was quiet, but we were at the back which helped.

Excellent staff giving advice on restaurants and other shopping requests we had. Lots of restaurants nearby so no need to travel far for dinner!

Great breakfast with a wide selection of food.

Our only very minor issue, was that we left early before the breakfast start time of 7am so told that there would be some food and drink in the lobby which is set up especially for early leavers. This was not as good as we had hoped - only some hot drinks in a flask, bowl of fruit and packets of odd croissant type things and biscuits. Some fresh bread would have been nice.

Overall a great stay!

Surprisingly short drive from highway, yet still in the city. walk over the river to metro and train station.
Parking for a fee, very convenient.
Complimentary happy hour drink. Clean rooms with mini bar, tv, bath room with articles and bath tub.

We got a twin room with a balcony to relax in small sofa.

In evenings, small bars are open around the hotel, but not noisy, and doesn't last all night. Great for a few drinks in the evening. Outside the hotel there's a bigger one, pass this one and turn right by the river..on the corner where you can cross the bridge, try the bar for some great tasting drinks and local guests.

while it was difficult to find at first, and even harder to park around (we ended up paying for hotel parking which was about 20 euro a night) and took quite a while to check in.

but when we got into our room, it was beautiful, long big windows that over look the streets and on weekends you can see all the people on the bars.

service was amazing, and the room was very spacious along with free wifi.

the hotel is good for a young hip crowd, anyone who could handle post midnight music in the downstairs street bars

Room Tip: get a room that overlooks the cafe's and bars.
