The monumental cemetery is definitely unlike anything I've seen before. First of all, it's much bigger than I had pictured. The massive monuments stretch as far as you can see in all directions. It's very beautiful and peaceful, and a bit of a surreal experience. It's a bit of a hike from the Duomo, it took about 25-30 minutes to walk there. However, you can walk through the Brera along the way, which is a very nice area. It's a nice way to spend an hour to two.
