“beautiful fortification”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

It is a nice example of medieval castle, with nice courtyards. It is free to walk inside the courtyards, the museums are paid. There is a big beautiful park(parco sempione) next the castle.

“Castle good, Museums a bit of a rabbit warren”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

The free outer areas of the castle are interesting and worth a look round.
The largely unremarkable museums are laid out in a manner that is hard to follow.

“Historical place in Milan”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

It's an historic place to visit , to only for the fortification itself, which is huge and very impressive, for its beautiful and large garden but also a place with great museums and exhibitions. We have been to the ancient Musical instruments exhibition and it was a very interesting the thorough one.
A nice place to visit when you want to relax and visit other things than the Duomo, the center, shopping, etc which Milan can offer

“Castello Sforzesco”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

This is a renaissance castle in the center of Milan and is a popular destination for tourists and families. The central part is open to the public and free, the other parts are the different museums. You'll need from two to three hours to see everything. Entrance to the museum is free if you come on the last hour, but most likely you will not have enough time to see everything. Outside the castle walls, there is an outdoor market serving food, drinks and craft items.

“Amazing castle, poorly laid out museum”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

The scale of the 15th century Castle is truly outstanding but is badly let down by the very poor lay out of the museum. It started with the incredibly unfriendly ticket seller, to the complete lack of signs to let you know how to navigate the various museum sections. We had to double back a number of times to move to different areas. The best laid out part is the Musee and this was the only area where they actually checked for a ticket!

At least is only cost €3 each and they've free bathrooms in the ticket/book shop area. Worth a visit to see the castle on its own.
