I stayed with a friend there for a weekend in October. The hotel is a standard 3-star facility with not much to note about it. What made it stand out was the great service we received from all members of the staff at reception, most notably Mr. Bruno Canzanella, who was very polite and helpful with all inquiries we had. He provided us with each and every detail we needed for the events we had planned and he sketched the best ways to use public transport, so we do not miss anything.

Furthermore, we were upgraded to an appartment in the attached building to no cost at all, as there seemed to be available ones and that was something to remember. The facilites were clean and comfortable, everything worked properly and breakfast, although very repetitive, was delicious.

Location was very convenient, there is a direct bus num. 81 connecting the piazza in front of the hotel to the main train station which takes about 15 minutes depending on traffic. Also, underground station Loreto is just around the corner, a 6-7 minutes walk. It is on the red metro line, and we found out that if you are in Milano to visit the Duomo, Teatro alla Scala, the Pinacoteca, the Sforza Castle, the shopping area downtown, the international fair and a game at Stadio San Siro, you do not need to take any other line, but this one - the red line. Also one of the major shopping streets - Corso Buenos Aires is two blocks away, very convenient for an evening walk.

All in one, I believe this hotel is a real bargain and unless you are specifically into luxury estates, it would serve as a very comfortable and convenient base to explore Milano.

we had a superior room at Aspromonte and found it very satisfied of it. The room is quite large, clean, and tidy. Friendly, helpful, and english speaking help desks provided us with wide range of informartion. The location is 5 minutes walk to Metro Station 'Loretto', which only 2 stops from Milano Centrale and 5 stops from Duomo. We didn't have problem resting as the hotel was on the quiet street. Easily one of the best hotel of our trip to Italy and Austria

The hotel is well situated very close to Loreto metro station which has direct links to the Duomo, the shopping quarter and the train station.

The hotel is very friendly and clean. My room was on the top floor and had everything i needed. The bathroom was clean and the air con worked perfectly.

It has free wifi throughout which is very helpful!

Breakfast was basic but well stocked with fruit, yoghurts, cereal etc.

This was a really nice hotel, with a very modern room that caught me by surprise! Very nicely designed. For only 60 euros a night, you can't beat it - and that included free breakfast and wi-fi as well. We couldn't really get the wi-fi to work very well though. I was very happy with our "superior room" that included a king size bed complete with canopy, small fridge, wardrobe, desk, flat screen TV, and bathroom with shower stall and a real hair dryer. The air conditioning worked very well too. There were no English TV channels though, not even news stations. The walls of the bathroom are made of translucent glass and have cracks at the seams, so be prepared if you're sharing this room with another person and you want your privacy while in the bathroom.

As for the neighborhood, it was fine. It was a 10 minute train ride to the Duomo downtown. We felt perfectly safe walking around at night near the hotel. We had no issues parking our car on the street in front of the hotel either. There was a delicious Greek restaurant where we had dinner only two blocks from the hotel (wish I could remember the name, it was out of the hotel front door to the right... two blocks up).

Overall, I would go back to this hotel if visiting Milan and I would recommend it to others, as long as you don't mind having to take the train to get to the touristy areas.
