It is a family owned lovely place. Parking is an issue. The recommended parking was 28 euros per day!!

As others have mentioned, this hotel is great if you are coming in from Malpensa airport. My husband, 10-year old son and I took the express train from Malpensa to Cadorna station, and walked 3 blocks to the hotel. Although it was quiet at 9:30 PM, it appeared to be very safe (we noticed women walking by themselves at 3 AM ... !) and we had no problems.

The breakfast, which is continental (pastries, cereal, coffee, tea and juice) is lovely. The pastries were VERY fresh, and my husband adored the freshly-made cappuccino! (We're from San Francisco and love Paris, if that helps to judge our sense of pastries and coffee). We thought the breakfast room was quaint, if small.

The man at the desk (who also helps with breakfast) was very helpful and recommended a couple restaurants within two blocks, one of which ended up being one of the best meals we had in our month-long stay (Ristorante Griglieria, 96 Corso Magenta). The next morning, my son and I felt a bit under the weather, and the hotel staff was very helpful, sending tea and toast, and provided advice regarding pharmacies.

The rooms, however, are very basic. Our room was on the first floor, looking out on a quiet, slightly run down garden. The pictures provided by others are much nicer looking than our room, which was a dull white, colorless room. It was quiet, but the beds were a bit hard.

The Duomo (the roof is AMAZING) is a bit of a walk from this hotel, but public transportation is across the street from the hotel. As others have mentioned, the Santa Maria delle Grazie (which contains the Last Supper) is on the corner of the same block, and is simply amazing (but reserve tickets in advance ...)

My husband and son enjoyed the breakfast and the service so much, I'm certain they would want to stay again. If the mattresses were changed, I would definitely stay here again.

This property has several benefits: first and foremost, it is very easy and inexpensive to get to from Malpensa airport - just take the express train to Cadorna station and walk for no more than 10 minutes and you are there. We had a nice room overlooking a courtyard with good natural light. Free WIFI and a good breakfast. Additional location advantages are proximity to the two major attractions in Milan: the Last Supper chuch is a block away (be sure to make a reservation a month or more in advance) and the Duomo is an easy 15 minute walk. The proprietors were very friendly and gave us a good local restaurant tip.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice with great humor. The main drawback was the distance from main attractions such as the Duomo. We had no car and walking to main attractions was an effort. The room had twin beds pushed together and only had a small armoire. The bath and shower were very small.

We thought the hotel looked upon entering, but we realized there were too many faults with the room once inside. Beds were creaky and uncomfortable. Noise from room upstairs. There was tv, but there were no English channels. The location was gowithin walking distance to take the Malpensa Express to the airport which we appreciated, but otherwise the neighborhood was isolated and deserted after 7PM. We couldn't find a restaurant for dinner and walked for many blocks before giving up and having gelato at a place that was closing at 7:30. We tried to bring it out to the garden in the back that was set up with tables and chairs, but as soon as we walked out there, we were told they were closing it for the night. Breakfast was terrible.

Good location (3 stops by tram from the centre, which is quiet good considering that it is a big city).
Located in the garden, away from busy street.
Clean.
Safe.
On the surface, the hotel looks very good and stylish. But it is an old hotel and many things are old, don't really function well (hair dryer, toilet flush).
Some rooms are more beautiful than others (I stayed in 6, adorable, but my friends stayed in 9 - not so good).
Wi fi was mostly not working.
The breakfast was boring.
The hotel rooms cost maybe 50€ more than they are worth.
The owners are very kind and welcoming.
Tram nr.16 takes you all the way to the hotel.

Boutique Hotel this is not. At 195 euros a night its an absolute rip off and con. The location is good if you wish to see the last supper apart from that its a distance from the centre. The rooms are absolutely hideous in every aspect. The beds hard, bedlinen very average. Bathrooms are functional but absolutely hideous. The very nice Ecuadorian gentleman whos job doubles up as porter and breakfast provider was charming and efficient. Breakfast is taken in the most depressing room ever which has been decorated in the worst possible taste ands looks rather like a cheap re war eastern european hotel dining room. The wireless internet also didnt work and the TV in the bedroom only provided italian channels. The garden also is very missleading. Its very dark and no charm. The website is very very missleading.
This place is an absolute rip off for the price and I can safely say I will never return.
