The staff and owners are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a super area (where I have now chosen to live!) with 2 metro stations close by, also the express rail link to Malpensa airport from Cadorno station.

The rooms are cosy & warm, but quite small and not really suitable for someone who wants to stay for a couple of weeks (with a few suitcases).

The breakfast was enjoyable with different options each day. As someone else has already commented, the public space is pretty limited. However there are lots of super cafes and bars in the area ~ most with Wifi.

Its a small charming hotel with really friendly and great staff who goes out of their way to be really nice and helpful. The small heater was not enough to heat a very big room with high ceililngs and we were provided cheerfully and apologetically with extra blankets and a portable heater. This heater trips up wiring so they kept coming back to fix it and the tripped lights but I still ended up with a nasty flu as a result. Service wise, I cannot complain. Just don't come in winter perhaps.

Yes, a small hotel inside a very old building at Milan City center, but at the same time very quite, clean, comfortable, assure a really good value for what hotel offers. Only few meters away of CENACOLO or "La grande cena" of Leornardo, at the Basilica of "S.Maria delle Grazie" . We had a formidable time there. thanks

Room Tip: Room 11 has a very nice balcony

This small hotel with only about 12 rooms is inside an old courtyard apartment building off Corso Magenta, and convenient to the old town and the Duomo either by the Metro 2 blocks away, or the Tram 16 outside the door. English is spoken. The furniture throughout the hotel is lovely old antiques, and warm carved wood everywhere. There are nice paintings on the walls. The Wifi is free and the best reception is where the router is located just outside the breakfast room.

As others have mentioned, this is the closest hotel to the church which has the Da Vinci Last Supper. The painting no longer belongs to the church, however, but now is owned by the government as a historic site since it underwent restoration involving considerable time and expense. So the access to the painting is no longer through the church but rather from the square in front of the church.

The included breakfast had the usual Italian ham and cheese plus some other cold items such as dried cereal, yogurt and fruit. We stayed 4 days and on 2 mornings there were hard boiled eggs which disappeared quickly. The hotel gets in fresh brioches (croissants) every morning and they are delicious. Capuccinos are made fresh for each individual, or you can have American coffee instead. The breakfast room is efficiently but firmly run daily by the same man, fondly called the "breakfast Nazi" because he kicks everyone out promptly at 10 and locks the doors, so don't be late. Otherwise drinks are available by room service, but no food. The breakfast room reopens at 7:45 p.m. as a bar, and the only food at that time is peanuts served with the drinks.

We had room 10 by the elevator. There was a huge bathroom with bath/shower, toilet, & bidet. Hairdryer was on the wall. The bathroom shelf space and indeed most surfaces in the room (on the desk and bedside tables) was occupied by various notices standing in Lucite frames requesting no eating on the bed, times of reception, checkout, breakfast and bar service, etc.

The bedroom was small and dominated by a huge antique carved wood wardrobe. There were two bedside tables and a small desk and chair. They provided (on our request) two luggage racks, so that neither of us had to strain our backs dealing with suitcases on the floor, which was very nice. The bed was big and comfortable. We had a huge window with shutters which the first night we couldn't close to darken the room, and as there are lights on all night in the courtyard below we did not sleep well. Then we found that the left side one was held by a clasp on the exterior wall, and once released could be closed and both latched. After that we slept well. There was no street noise to speak of, only barely audible low rumble from the trams on Corso Magenta which ended by midnight.

The phone in the room did not have a number pad, but curiously there were instructions to dial various numbers for this and that. What we did not know is that the phone's number pad is hidden under a slide down panel on the front.

The service was excellent and no-one officiously expected tips. Because of an inflamed ankle I needed to use frozen cold packs twice a day, and they kept them in a freezer downstairs and brought them to me on demand.

Minuses - no food available from 10 a.m. until 7:30 the next morning. My husband was sick and couldn't go out for a couple of days. I learned to take apples, cheese and crackers from the breakfast room into our room for snacks later. It rained the entire time we were in Milan but that was not the fault of the hotel but rather the time of year we chose to come - prices and crowds are less in the off season, but it rains and is cool in winter in Milan.

Pluses - Location, location, location. Also good free Wifi and excellent service.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different. We liked room 10, but I peeked into a couple of other rooms just to see...

This hotel is one floor of what I gather is an apartment building but it has its own entrance. That sounds a little funky but it's not awkward at all. The breakfast was good and served in a lovely room that apparently doubles as a bar for hotel guests at night. The owners/staff were super friendly. Our only objective in going to Milan was to visit Davinci's The Last Supper. This hotel is a minutes' walk (if that) to the church in which this mural is located. You can walk to shopping and the easy-to-use Metro from the hotel as well. It's a really good value.

We stayed for 5 nights in a very clean and comfortable room overlooking the (tiny) garden. It was very quiet and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a decent continental offering, served in a small upstairs room. The owner and his wife were very helpful and attentive, advising on transport, booking taxis etc.

The Hotel is very near Santa Maria de la Grazie, and only 5 minutes from Cadorna Station and quite near Castlello Sforzesco, but a 15 - 20 minute walk to the Duomo and the tourist centre of Milan.

This hotel is SO good.
The rooms are well appointed and kept clean. A couple of chocolates are left in the room each day. Breakfasts include the usual pastries cheese, ham, eggs, etc. As well there is a daily special which makes breakfast a treat. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Santa Maria Delle Grazie, which houses the "Last Supper". It is also within walking distance of the Piazza Duomo and Sforza Castle. It is a about 10 minutes walk from the Milano Cadorno station. This station gives easy access to the airport and Como.
Choices for eating out are not as wide as in some places, but there are some excellent choices.
Wifi worked well and a laptop was available for use.
