Among my arrival to Milan Malpensa airport, the taxi dropped me in the Grand Visconti Palace hotel. It was a great choice of my employer to book me there, as the hotel is a GRAND and deserves the best evaluation in everything except in the internet. It costs 11 Euros per 24 hours, while in other countries like Hungary or Austria the internet is included in the accommodation fees. Except this, I liked it so much.

Room Tip: It's worth the money paid to stay there.

Lovely hotel. Good location with easy access to major attractions.
The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast restaurant had such a good variety of food. We liked it.
The staff was very friendly and professional. We were answered all our questions about locations, time of work, how to get there etc.
We were helped by concierge service in ticketing to Serravalle outlet (the price was the same like in ticket office), so we have no queue experience in ticket office next morning like others, although it was Sunday.
Not far from the hotel one can find good cafes and restaurants with Italian character (Ristorante- Pizzeria L’imperatore, Solo Pizza), good supermarket, shop with toys for kids etc.
Unfortunately we have no time to try SPA in hotel, but we have a lot of reasons to come back!
Our experience was enjoyable, thank you!
Ganna V.

Stayed here for my 40th birthday with my husband.. WOW such a beautiful hotel, very welcoming staff.. Only ate breakfast here, so much to offer, full english, cereals, fruit, french breads, the list is endless. My only wish is that i had booked dinner too but having a busy few days sight seeing & at robbie williams concert this wasnt possible... Thank you for making memories for my 40th birthday such special 1's...

Good evening dear take-a-wa, and thank you for leaving your feedback.

We hope you will be coming back to visit the Grand Visconti Palace Hotel and to experience dinner in our charming restaurant, maybe in may after the next Italian Robbie Williams's concert or in July to celebrate your husband 41st birthday.

Kind Regards.

The public rooms here are very nice (though the bar has little atmosphere), and the bedrooms are lovely, with all amenities, such as slippers and robes. They also have a nice gym.
The not so good points of this hotel are the sub standard breakfast, the not particularly warm and helpful staff and the fact that they charge extra for internet for every device and for use of the pool

Dear Helen F,

We thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion about your stay. We are glad you have enjoyed most of it, and sorry you could not experience the usual hospitality we are especially recognized for.

Concerning the breakfast buffet we have a large selection of warm and cold dishes, fruits and healthy food, with a special look over special diet requests, we are sorry this was not of your taste.

The use of Internet is free in the lobby and the bar, unfortunately the SPA being managed by an external Company has got a small entrance fee which cover the whole day and gives complete access to the pool and spa area.

For the future if you wish to have it included in the room rate we suggest you to have a look on our web site as we often have special offers which include the entrance to the SPA.

We hope to welcoming you back again.

Kindest Regards

This hotel is 150m away from the metro stop 'Lodi T.I.B.B' which is in turn only 4 stops (on the yellow line) away from Duomo (the main square with the huge cathedral and the Galleria) - so easily accessible. Metro tickets go from €1.50 - a 48 hour ticket (which allows access to buses, metro trains and trams) was €8.
Upon arriving at the hotel at 00:10, we were greeted by awesomely friendly staff who were patient with my Italian, and spoke good English anyway. We were upgraded to a superior room which was very nice. The facilities on site included: a swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. The passes were €15 per person which allowed you to access them all, but we were given free passes by a lovely man, Bernie.
The meals we had there were the buffet breakfast which were very good... And included in the price of our room.
Wifi was free in the lobby so we didn't bother paying to have it in our room. There was also a bar and a restaurant which we didn't visit.
All in all this hotel was excellent and we would definitely visit again.

Dear Jack R,

we thank you for your kind feed back, which being so detailed it will be very useful for other travellers.

The only thing we would like to specify is that the entrance to the SPA costs € 10 per day for one person and €15,00 for 2 people, it gives you access to all the facilities you have described here above. While the gym is free of charge. We always advise to have a loo on our web site in order to find special offers which include the free entrance to the SPA and many other benefits available during several times during the year.

We are happy to see that for your next visit to Milan you will chose our hotel again, therefore we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Kindest Regards.

We have just come back from the hotel on our first trip to Milano and would whole-heartedly recommend it. We stayed as a family of four (two young children) in one of the two bedroom suites. The suite was spacious and well equipped. The rooms were nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. All of the public areas were nice and were clean and the pool area was lovely. The location is great, a little away from the main noise and chaos, but within a block of the yellow metro line and only 4 stops from the Duomo.

Most importantly though, the staff is fabulous and makes you feel welcome from beginning to end. The concierge service is especially great. We received great local tips (excellent restaurant advice from Bernie) and they were great with the kids. We had one minor mishap regarding whether the spa was included in our package, but the duty manager gave us passes for the duration of our stay and it was sorted without any fuss.

We would recommend the hotel to anyone and would definitely stay again on any future trip to Milano. Was a 5-star hotel by any UK measure!

Room Tip: The suites are great for families!

Very good hotel, you can feel the history in this hotel, and the staff certainly still acts as if it were the golden years of Italian tourism, but it lacks the modern facilities to be a truly great hotel. It is reasonably priced but certainly not a bargain. There is an indoor swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is ok, but could be better, it lacks a bit of local/Italian flair. It is situated near public transport, only ten minutes from the centre.
