“the place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

just a couple of meters from the Doumo you will find this great hotel. The location could not have been better, almost on the Doumo square, within easy reach of the Metro, you can reallly discover Milano! The staff is very friendly and helpfull, they park your car (if you come by car ofcourse ;-). The rooms are big, excellent beds, good and free wifi, bathrooms are superb! All in all the ideal place for a town visit to MIlano! We had no breakfast in the hotel, found the price of that on the high side, and with so many excellent small bars around you can easily grab a appuchino and a brioche around the corner.

Stayed there end of last month with my hubby , hotel absolutly by far has the best location, stepping out of the door you cam simply touch the building of Duomo... what can i say.... The staff really happy people, very welcoming and helpful for anything concerning the rooms, shopping, nightlife, restaurants bars etc..Stayed in a deluxe room, with a beautiful view, spacious enough and all that someone's need from a modern touch and design... the lobby with a cool relaxing hanged up bed with warm and bright colours!!!! everything we wanted and love from a milanese italian relaxed and shopoholic break!!! Really reccomend it and will stay there again!!!!

Upon arrival early in the morning, we didn't receive a great welcome.
Rooms have a lot of wear and tear, everything is old and not attractive anymore.
Location is perfect at the entrance of Galleria Vittoria Emmanuel.
For me this is not a 'Small Luxury hotel' or a five star hotel.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very dark and weared out.

It is ocated at only 100 meters from il Duomo. It is a boutique hotel that started quite well years ago. I have been at the Gray many times but this is my last time. The bathrooms need urgent maintenance, they have bathtubs with no protection so, if you decide to take a shower you flood the bathroom, it is also dirty and not well kept. Their air conditioning system is impossible to control. There are so many switches that you need a course to figure out where to turn the lights on and how to close the curtains. The place is depassé! Pity because it used to be good. Their breakfast choice is pretty limited, the decoration is dark and you feel you are having breakfast in the middle of the night.

This time they gave me room for handicapped people without telling me, not a nice room. Not coming back

The Gray is a very stylish and highly sophisticated boutique hotel just 32 steps beside the dome and 34 steps a way from the famous shopping mall. It takes 3 min to the main entrance of the scala and the lavish shopping roads are just around the corner.

No wonder the central location demands a price that is above oridinary reasoning. The rooms are small not really functional, but that is not the point for this hip place.

The bathroom furniture carries the dirt of many vistiors. It feels somehow strange to witness the remains of previous guests. And in my case I do not care how famous the are, dirt stays simply dirt if the name tag is missing.

I was there on business, so I needed to leave before berakfast started.

Room Tip: Check-in only if you can avoid the bathroom or use it without lights.

The Gray is a small luxury hotel with a friendly atmosphere where the staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms, a modern European style, are well appointed despite the limited space of the building. Internet access is easy and unlimited. Breakfast is also very good. In addition, like most of the other reviews, we really appreciated the hotel is located in the historical center of Milan. And what about all these great shops that blend this high quality Italian decor.

Well, first of all, you cannot bit this location. It's very close to the Duomo, with a direct view to the Scala and Galleria Vittorio, and you are right in the center of its all, easy to find your way around and get anywhere from that spot. Seriously luxury at its best. Little hotel, unique modern design. The round jacuzzi is a great additional touch. I took my husband for its birthday and we loved every minute of it. The breakfast is great as well. It's a unique hotel and I highly recommend it!
