Didn't stay in Milan very long but made it a point to visit the stadium. It was perfect timing as it was when Italy was playing England during the World Cup. The stadium is a great structure and just being there got can feel the adrenal as if there was a game playing.

What an anticlimax to finally visit the great San Siro, home to two teams which fielded some of the worlds best players. The museum is like a primary schools project, just awful, Save your money, do a virtual tour on google maps, don't bother going inside.

Not the nicest of European stadiums, especially compared to newer ones such as Amsterdam Arena or Allianz Arena, but well worth visiting for every European football lover. History was written here. The structure with multiple 'cylinders' climbing up to the sky is impressive. And currently you can see Ballotelli live, which is always fun. We visited the AC Milan - Livorno, Mario scored once and contributed to the other two goals, and we were satisfied. :)

Around the world there are just few places a real football fan can smell football, can feel the history of this glorious game was made, and San Siro is certainly was of those. the stadium was inaugurated in 1926, and has seen all the best players in history of football playing here, some of them just occasionally like Pelè, Cruijff, Di Stefano, Puskas . Eusebio , Beckenbauer, Butragueno ...other very often because they were playing in the italian league : Maradona ,Zico, Falcao , Platini, Socrates , Francescoli , Sivori ...... and also all the great players playing for the Milan's team : Van Basten , Baresi , Maldini , Gullit , Schiaffino , Nordhal, Rivera , Baggio , Ronaldo , Meazza , Rumenigge , Facchetti , Suarez ........... the stadium it's the biggest in Italy with max capacity of around 82.000 people. compare to other great stadium as Old Trafford,Bernabeu and Anfield. San Siro look like a giant from the outside, that's because it doesn't have any buildings next to it. The easiest way to get to the stadium is with the red line underground, stop "Lotto" and then walk a little bit. I recommend to any football fan to visit this historycal place, possibly when Ac Milan is (one of the most important team in the world) is playing.
