Owner description: Tickets to view Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper go on sale three months in advance and sell out quickly, although it's sometimes possible to buy tickets closer to your visit. If you don't manage to purchase tickets on your own, consider visiting The Last Supper as part of a tour. It's much more expensive, but worth it if you don't want to miss out.

“15 minutes of awe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Book in advance! There are tours that include The Last Supper, as well. It was a shame to have such a short time, but if you read up on the work before you go, you will be ready to absorb it...Unbelievable that this incredible work was altered by monks who wanted a larger door. Thank heavens this masterpiece is being preserved.

“Doesn't Need a Title: Its the Last Supper”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We hired a guide for the morning and she accompanied us into the Last Supper to explain it from A to Z. Well worth doing as you have very limited time (15 minutes) in the room.

Reservations are mandatory and need a lot of lead time. We got tickets in February for a May visit and couldn't get the time we wanted.

Everyone has seen this painting in some form. It is well worth seeing it in person, up close and personal.

“Buy tickets in advance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Make sure you get your tickets in advance, the times close out quickly. It's a must see if you've studied art history or if you're interested in religious paintings. We had a person explaining everything to us. You only get 15 minutes in the room with the painting.

“Very impressive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

After trying to get tickets to see The Last Supper before going to Milan and were told it was fully booked, we found ourselves near the church and just popped into the booking office on the off chan of getting a cancellation. To our amazement we were offered tickets for later that afternoon for a quarter of the cost on line. We were delighted. My advice to anyone in the same position is to do as we did and just go along and ask at the ticket office - even though it will say "no availability" that day. Just ask !!

“Prebook, prebook, prebook!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

This is worth every penny!
To stand in front of this masterpiece is breathtaking. We happened to be fortunate enough to have a good number of art students in with us during our visit and listened to their analysis of this great work helped us to appreciate it even more.
You MUST prebook your entry! Yes, you may get luck and a few tickets might be available when you wonder up to the ticket office, however, the chances are better than not that the entire day will be sold out, and the following two days. So if you are only in Milan for a brief period of time, prebook online and insure yourself a place in front of The Last Supper.
And yes, you are NOT allowed to take photos. We just happened to not see the sign and snapped this one before being defended upon by security.
